-laying down in the middle of the road, the concrete seeping through your bones. unaware of any incoming cars, playing a game of how far, you can make it, before it's too late, and those lights shine right past your face.

-standing on a mountain, looking down, knowing, that if you fall, you probably won't ever get up again. the wind leaves you wobbling, unsteady on your feet, and the cold air is not what flushes your cheeks.

-leaning out a window some stories up, getting that flash of panic- your mind telling you to jump. what if someone pushed you from behind? you see yourself fall. splattered on the ground, neck bent too far.

-there isn't a train anywhere near, but standing in the middle of the railings still brings out some kind of fear. fear and excitement, you know you'd have time to jump out of the way. if a train was to come, against all odds. closing your eyes. now you won't know.
