"Act so as to always treat people as ends in themselves, and not as a means to an end." --Immanuel Kant.

There are many themes in this book, but by far one of the more important ones is the bias created by a difference in experience. People experience each other differently, depending on mood, setting, and background. So, while it is important to see yourself from another's perspective (as it can be helpful in seeing your flaws) it can also be damaging to see yourself in a negative light that may not be true due to a misunderstanding, or the circumstances surrounding the experience. People are quick to make judgements based on the parts they see of someone, many times without realizing that they have yet to see the whole.

Its both the fault of the perceiver and the presenter.

"To look forward successfully, you need to first look back and analyze, successfully." --Esme Nadeena.
