Eternal Darkness

I remember each and every detail about that day, and not just because it was two days ago. I was in school when it happened, Katie (my best friend) and I were in the hallway flirting with the two new foreign exchange students. Long story short, I'm a Vrykolakas now, or more formally known as a vampire.

I'm on my way to the Academy of Eternal Darkness, and the men that are taking me there haven't spoken a word since we left the school.

"What's going to happen to me when we get there"?

Silence.

"Can you here me? Why am I blindfolded"?

"Will you stop asking questions and wait until we get there, it's only five minutes away"

Sure enough we were there in about five minutes. The academy was more like a castle than a boarding school. It's a lifeless brick building with hardly any windows without cages on them, and no one outside. However it's welcoming. As if I was meant to be here..

The inside is a completely different story. Every wall layered with a gold trim and three chandeliers dangling from the ceiling. The lights were dim but each speckle illuminated off the walls making it brighter than daylight itself. The inside of the academy was the definition of beautiful. And, unlike the outside, there were people walking, talking, laughing, and excitedly waiting. It was full of life and joy.

As I looked around I noticed that everyone looked perfect. Not a single person that was wandering around had a flaw. It wasn't like they were all drop dead gorgeous, but each of them had an overwhelming confidence that made them seem untouchable.

"Haley Landis"? His voice sounded like the final crash of a tsunami.

I realized I had been standing there blankly staring for quite awhile..

"Yes, that's me"! I made sure I sounded like a preppy cheerleader and seemed ecstatic to be there.

"You're room is number 3223 on the the third story, and by the way... Don't look so happy you have no reason to be"
