My POV

Today isn't so bad. I have warm feeling inside......I think I'm actually hap-gco- nope it was just nausea. Damn I puked all over my favorite jacket...is that a piece of broccoli? It can't be... I ate broccoli last night. As my mind drifted off I didn't notice the knock at the door until the person at the door finally realized that there was a doorbell. Ding Dong. I quietly but swiftly walk to the door. I look through the peep hole and I see my child's father. I opened the door.

Me: Just the person I need to see

Jamal: Look I know what happened to you and I was a mistake but I gco

Me: But you don't believe that the child is yours I know.....that's why I asked my doctor for a paternity test.

Jamal: Where is it?

Me: On the kitchen table.

Jamal walks to the table

Jamal: I found it....why is there a custody form on the table

Me: It's for you. I know how much you love music so I just thought why not take the weight of having a child on your shoulders by taking full custody of my child.

Jamal: I didn't say I did not want to be in my child's life.

Me: Well...that's how I interpreted it.

Jamal: So if you take the child what do I get from that?

Me: You can continue to go to work focused and energetic and come back as late as you want and....wait here's the best part...A monthly one thousand dollar child support payment that is due every first Saturday.

Jamal: So I guess the thousand dollar child support payment pays for your apartment bill.

Me: I am fried. Do you think I want your stupid ass money! Nope. I am a well paid nurse and I have no problem paying for everything. I just thought that you would at least send money to your own child for goodness sakes.

Jamal: We can raise this kid together you know.

Me: How is this going to work out? huh?

Jamal: I'll get him or her when you work and you can get them after your work shift is over

Me: No thank you. I just want my child with me.

Jamal: look I don't want to go to court with you and the results of the custody comes back with one of us keeping the child while the other one ends up with no contact with the child. Rips the custody forms

Me: Ok I really appreciate the fact that you care about us taking care of my child-gco

Jamal: Our child

Me: You wasn't saying that when I told you that I was pregnant.

Jamal: I know and I'm sorry

Me: Don't say that to me say it to my baby

Jamal gets on his knees..............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................but gets stopped by Karter you filthy minded unicorns

Karter: not now but when the child is born.

Jamal: Why? I don't get it

Karter: neither do I. I just felt like saying that. Anyways you can come by in two months and we will continue this discussion.

Jamal: How about I'll take you to IHOP tomorrow morning and we will have our 'discussion' there.

Me: No

Jamal: Why not

Me: because I start work tomorrow morning at 6 am.

Jamal: what time do you get off

Me: at 6pm

Jamal: you work 12 hours a day. You know what I'm calling your job and telling them you quitting

Me: Why. Do you think I'm going to end up stressing out about how much sleep I need.

Jamal: ...

Me: That's what I thought -_- . Can you leave now cuz I'm tired as hell and I'm starving

Jamal: I'm sorry

Me: Apology not accepted. Now leave

Jamal walks through the front door without saying a word.

Slam!

Me: this bitch just slammed my door closed. Wtf is wrong with him and I thought I was the pregnant one.
