Savannah's POV
"Oh, come on Lucy, stop being negative. Any guy would die to be with you, especially Theo." I tell her as we walk to work from her car.
"No no. He would never want to be with me, besides I am a very busy woman." She tells me sarcastically and flips her hair.
"Pfft oh yeah of course, a very busy, single, 23-year-old woman." I tell her as she gets her phone from her back pocket.
Lucy looks down to her phone screen and immediately a smile spreads across her face.
"Was the nude that good?" I ask, and her checks turn a bright red.
"What? NO! Ew Sass no." She chokes out.
"Hey, I don't judge." I say as I put my hands up in defense.
Lucy laughs and shoves me as we enter Lunar Café, a coffee shop in Redwood that Lucy's parents own, and we work for.
"My apologies love." A guy with some accent tells me.
I turn to face the person I was accidentally shoved into and see these beautiful blue eyes staring back at me.

"Oh no, I am so sorry sir-" I say before I get cut off.
"Niall. The names Niall." He says as he grabs his coffee off of the table he was sitting at.
"Niall. I-I'm Savannah. I'm sorry, I should be careful next time." I say as I apologize to him.
"No don't worry love, with a beautiful young woman like you bumping into me, it made my day." He says with a little smirk.
"Oh haha-" I nervously laugh, and rub my arm, unsure with what to respond.
"Babe?" A familiar voice says.
I turn and see my boyfriend, Derek walking towards me.

"Everything alright?" He says as he puts his arm around my waist.
I see Niall's facial expressions change once his eyes direct to where Derek's hand is.
"Yeah, of course I just accidently bumped into him as I was walking in." I tell Derek as I point towards Niall.
"Well I must be going. Once again, my apologizes, love." Niall smiles before he brushes past us and leaves.
"What was that all about?" Derek asks as I walk toward the counter.
"Lu shoved me and I saw her run to the back once she saw the damage she made." I say as I walk behind the counter.
Derek takes a seat by the counter as I put on an apron.
"Hey Sass, Lu's scared that you're going to hurt her, so she's got dish duty for now." Stiles, one of our best friends and co-worker tells me as he comes from the kitchen.
"Haha she switched with you? Aren't you getting off of work soon?" I say as I go stand behind the cash register.
"Yeah in about 15 minutes and then we're going to get a haircut." Derek says as he looks up from his watch.
"Date night for you two?" I say as I wiggle my eyebrows.
"Sass you know I-" Derek says before Stiles cuts in.
"Yeah totally, so don't wait up, he'll be busy." Stiles tells me as he turns and winks at Derek.
"Dude, don't make me change my mind. I don't want to hang out anymore." Derek says uncomfortably.
"Haha I'm joking man." Stiles reassures Derek and heads to the back to switch again with Lucy.
"Hey, look Sass, you can get your payback later." Lucy begins once she comes from the kitchen and sees me.
"Chill bro, it's fine. There was no damage caused, you just caught me off guard. That's why I went bumping into people." I tell her as I take a customer's order.
"I guess I was excited, that's why my strength came out of nowhere." She tells me once she gives the customer their order.
"Why? What did your lover boy say?" I ask as I help her put away the ingredients she used.
"Well he sort of asked me on a date for tomorrow night." She says as she bites her lips, keeping herself from smiling.
I almost choked on my saliva.
"Bro, oh my God, you're lying!" I say as Derek looks up from his phone.
"Is this Theo you're talking about? The newbie at my work." Derek cuts in.
"Yeah, he was nice you know." Lucy says.
"And cute, but girl do you know what you're wearing for your date?" I ask her.
"No, but I was wondering if you could come by and help-"
"Yeah what time?" I cut her off.
"Well Theo said he'd pick me up at 6. So, come around noon? So that I'll have enough time to get ready" She tells me, and I agree.
"Well your boys are out of here and-" Stiles says taking off his apron but before he places it down, Lucy stops him.
"Hey Stiles, before you two go, would you mind working for me tomorrow night?"
"What, why?" He asks.
"Because she has a date tomorrow." I tell him.
"Really with who?" He asks.
"You know that guy-" Lucy begins.
"So, can you?" I ask interrupting Lucy.
"Yeah sure I guess, but you owe me Lu." He says pointing at her as he pulls Derek with him.
"Wait bro." Derek tells him and leans over the countertop to kiss me.
"Be safe kids!" I yell as they walk out causing Derek to laugh.
"Sass I just hope Theo and I form a relationship like you and Derek." Lu tells me.
"What do you mean?"
"You know, you two have the most perfect relationship. You guys are meant for each other." She says as she hands customer's orders.
"Well after getting turned down by him in high school because I was a sophomore and he was a senior and was going to graduate but then getting together after college, I mean we've had our ups and downs." I tell her as she glares at me.
"But I guess you're right." I say before I go and wipe down some tables.
But then, are we meant to be?
