it was just another day. tyler walked to forensics and sat down next to the only empty desk in the classroom. students filed in like any normal day, making small chatter and laughing as they filed into their seats. tyler was gazing at the board until a boy and the teacher walked in. tyler immediately sat up in his seat and stared. the boy had a bright blue mohawk. he had small black gages in his ears and he was wearing a polka dotted button up and mustard brown pants.
"tyler," Mr.Maddi approached him, followed by the boy. "meet joshua. he's new here, so i'm putting him next to you. get your bag off the chair."
tyler stopped gawking and moved his bag as joshua took a seat.
"hey," he said with a deep and mellow voice. "i'm josh." he stuck out his hand. tyler lifted a shaky and clammy hand.
"h-hi," he stuttered back. "i'm tyler."
josh cocked his head and smiled. as soon as the smile hit his face his eyes closed and small laugh lines surrounded his eyes.
fuck, tyler thought. fuck!
