Keep writing about writing
and pretending you know
Anything at all about expression,
about your feelings.
Scribble his name down and explain,
explain the situation
you don't even know happened.
And then cry because you don't.
Keep telling everyone you write
to express yourself.
Then hold back when you need
to let go most.
Maybe even rip the page
and toss it behind you
into the dust.
Let the dust critique you,
your "work," your "expression."
It can't read, right?
Write your heart out, kid.
Kid yourself and believe
you know what the hell
you're doing,
feeling,
writing.
You're expressing! You! Are! Expressing!
Expressing that you're not expressing.
Anything.
Say anything.
Collect the dust and inhale.
