Hey guys! This is gonna be little snippets from stories me and my friend wrote.
"P-papa?"
Oliver stood in the doorway of his father's room, looking at the body sprawled on the floor and the blood spatter on the wall. A pistol was in his father's hands. The small Oliver, only seven at the time, sank to his knees, sobbing. His mother rushed to the room and gasped, and looked away. She picked up Oliver and held him, and kissed his forehead and shushed him. Ollie was now just hiccuping. The mother's soft Italian singing soothed Ollie, and he drifted to sleep, unaware of the dark shadows that seemed to drift off the paint-peeling walls, and towards his father's body.
"Mom! No!"
This was the only noise that echoed through the hallway. The two scientist parents dragged their nine year old daughter into the room. They blind-folded her, her deep brown eyes shielded from sight. The little girl thrashed, but the father was able to bound her to the table. "This will only hurt a little bit, sweetie. You'll be alright." The mother said, holding two needles. The little girl, trusting her mom, relaxed. The mom inserted the needles into her eyes, and the girl gasped and cried out. The pain was unbearable, and the father turned away. The mom pulled the very tiny needles out, and removed the blindfold. Their once beautiful daughter's brown eyes were now icy cold blue. They held no sight in them, and the little girl started shaking.
"Mommy. /When are you gonna take the blindfold off?"/
"Basty!" The little girl shouted, which was quickly shushed. Bastion was lying down with a few pillows under them. He had a sleeping Iris cradled in his lap, sighing softly in her sleep as he played with her hair. The small girl, only six, smiled at her big brother. Bastion had found her once he became king, and adopted her. She now lived in the castle with them. Bastion shooed her off, and tried not to wake Iris as he shifted. He moved Iris out of his lap, and he laid down next to her. Iris had been sleeping a lot lately, and was eating a lot. She was gaining weight a lot also. Bastion was very suspicious, but didn't dare bring it up. He shifted again and rested his head on her stomach. He always slept well like that. But now, with his ear against her stomach, he heard something.
Two somethings.
Heartbeats.
Bastion stared at Iris in shock. He he moved her shirt up so he could put his ear to her stomach. He heard it again. Two heartbeats, beating at different times. He lifted his head and felt her heart. It wasn't her heart.
He knew she was gaining weight fast, but he never would have thought she was....
Pregnant.
He lighted poked her cheek. She stirred, and opened her eyes groggily. She smiled up at him. "Hey, bassy." She said, pecking his cheek. He was still staring at her. "What's wrong?" She asked. Bast pointed to her stomach. "You are aware there are two heartbeats in your stomach?" He said, as she gasped. "Oh, jeez. I wanted to wait to tell you." She said, covering her face. Bast laughed and kissed her head. "So I'm right. You are pregnant." He said, and his eyes widened. "Twins. Two heartbeats, other than your own. We're having twins."
Bast sighed loudly as Iris glared at him. He didn't know that if he told one person the queen was pregnant, everyone in the kingdom would soon know. Everyone was celebrating, happy that there would be Heirs. Iris was on the other side of the carriage, still glaring at him.
"I'm sorry, for the hundredth time!" He said, taking her hands. She sighed loudly. "I guess it's not your fault." She said, as bast grinned. Her crown was beautiful, and had more of a symbolic meaning. It was worn on top of her head, but hung low and rested on her forehead in a raindrop jewel. His own crown was switched for his royal cape. Ever since he had cut his hair, the crown itched his skin.
Bast smiled, handing Iris a strawberry. She growled and threw it back at his face. "I told you I wanted sweets." She said, as he sighed and handed her he cake. She grinned happily. "Love you, bassy." She said, happily eating the cake. Her stomach was swelled up, and protruded from her shirt. Bast tried to steal some of her cake, and she stabbed him with the plastic fork. "Okay, okay. Ow. Ow." He said, getting up and going to remove the fork. "I need a new fork, Bast!" She yelled, as bast sighed loudly. He was having a hard time dealing with a very pregnant Iris. The maids could tell, as they would give him sympathetic looks when Iris slapped him or called him some bad name. He returned with a bandaged hand, and a new fork. He sat down beside her, and kissed her temple. She hummed and took the fork, and leaned against him as she ate.
The little girl ran around, then fell on her face. Bastion sighed, and smiled a little. He picked up the little girl, and she looked up at him with emerald eyes. She giggled and gripped his cheeks and squished them. "Okay, ow." Bast said, putting her back down. The boy was sitting beside a blanket, wrapped up with one half of it. Bast smiled and picked him up. The baby looked at him with big eyes, and rested against him. Bastion sighed as Iris entered the room. The nursery was a mess, covered with stray toys and blankets. Iris gave him a questioning look as a two year old Delilah yanked on bast's now, short hair. It came to right below his ears, and was kept neat. Not anymore. Iris giggled and picked up Delilah, then helping bast stand up. Bastion laughed and pecked Iris on the cheek, as the boy in his arms yawned and fell asleep.
Bast smiled, holding the baby Leo. He yawned every so often, then cuddling closer to bast's chest. Bast was sitting on the ground in the nursery, and Iris walked in holding Delilah. Iris smiled and sat next to him, and bumped his shoulder. He smiled and Delilah reached over and grabbed Leo's arm. Leo mumbled and bast and Iris laughed. Iris and bast sat the twins down, and the two played. Bast smiled and watched the two. He had all he had ever wanted. He had his kingdom, he had his loyal people, he had a family, and he had Iris. He never knew he needed her until he broke her out of prison. He didn't realize he was staring at Iris until she laughed. "Why are you staring?" She asked, and he kissed her head. She giggled. "What was that for?" She asked, and he just smiled. He leaned over and hugged her tightly. She giggled more. "You are so random."
The seven year old boy stood quietly outside, in the courtyard. He couldn't quite remember where to go, as Delilah was always his guide. He heard horses, and people talking loudly. Many shouts were heard, as bast sighed in relief and found Leo and picked him up. He smile. "Found ya." He said, as Leo smiled and fell asleep. Bast walked back into the castle. Iris was waiting with Delilah, as Iris sat on he king's throne and pretended to be bast.
Sven coughed, and wiped away the blood that leaked out his his mouth. He was laying down on the ground, his stomach to the sky.
"The stars....are so beautiful tonight." He choked out, as more blood ran down his chin. He smiled softly. Most of his upper torso was the color of his hair, dark red.
"I can finally see the stars from a different perspective. I can sing for the angels."
He said, as the sword in his side finally did its task.
The boy giggled, holding onto the goat as it barreled trough the town. Suddenly it bucked, and he was thrown off. He hit the wall, and rubbed his head. A small bruise welt was slowly appearing on his forehead. He didn't seem to mind, as he was already chasing after the goat again. Kassim was only eleven, and still did not know about the deal his mother had made, that would take away his happy ending.
The boy wept.
"Kassim..." Ja'far said, holding the empty lump of clothes. There was small bits of ash all over the clothes, and on the ground. Grim reaper looked away and put a hand on Ja'far's back.
"I'm so sorry. I didn't know this mission would be dangerous." He said, looking at the empty spot where Kassim used To be.
"What happened to him?" Ja'far asked, holding the jacket. Reaper sighed.
"His soul was obliterated. There is nothing left of him. I am truly sorry. He was very old, he has lived a long life." Reaper said, looking away from the spot.
"We were supposed to live forever. This wasn't supposed to happen."
And that's it!
