The smoke was clearing from overhead. The few who survived the attack where getting up from under the rubble.
Alex who was looking all over the town for her brother had not survived. When Jeremy found his little sisters lifeless body under a semi trick he broke down. She was the last thing he had that was able to tie him to before. Nothing, he thought could ever make this any better.
"Jeremy what's wrong" came a voice from behind him. He slowly turned around to find Jessie. Jessie was his best friend she always knew what to say when he was upset and was having problems that he had no idea how to fix. Yet at this moment Jeremy had no idea how even Jessie would be able to help him.
Without his sister, the sister who made him laugh even in hard times, who gave him a hug in the morning just because, and the sister who would crawl into his bed when he was sad or scared. He would now have to learn to live without her.
"Jeremy what's wrong" Jessie questioned him. That was until she looked over and saw Alex under a beam from the pavilion lying on top of the motionless young girl. "Oh, Jeremy it's going to be alright. Everything is going to be perfectly fine. We will give her the proper burial and she will live forever in our hearts." But nothing she said was being heard by the devised older boy.
"They will pay for what they have done." Jeremy finally exclaimed. Jessie only had seconds to try to catch the boy before he started to storm off to the officials who just showed up for the clean up of the bodies.
"Jeremy!" Jessie exclaimed "you have to calm down, we will find some way to get revenge, but right now the only thing attacking a guard will do is get you killed. Please I know you lost Alex and your heart broken but your the only thing I have left. Please just wait." Jessie pleaded. He saw the sorrow in her eyes and loosened his stance.
"Okay, but I pledge that I will save the city's that are going to be attacked by the capital and I will get revenge for Alex's death."
And with that Jeremy turned on his heals and waked away back to the destroyed building he once called home.

Thanks for reading my first chapter please tell me what you think. I am a horrible speller so if I got any words wrong or if something doesn't make sense to you just tell me. What I am doing on this app is trying to make myself a better writer, be harsh it might just be able to make me a better writer. Also I see in other books that when people swear it is flagged. Please we are all writers and readers we can take a little bit of swearing it's how we express ourselves so leave it no need to flag it. However I don't tend to swear so I might not have any swears in this book so try and keep it to a minimum but I will not be mad if you do. I know this is long so I will say I will try and update every week but I am a busy person so it might be less then that. Please I love writing but I just need a little help on how to make my writing the best it can be.
So long for now: Hannah Collier
Love you guys!!!!!
