Court ladies bow to me
Envy in their eyes makes my blood rush
A hunger for power that demands more
No longer dressed in cotton but in the finest silks
The Queen Mother walks in to my chambers her head held high
Behind her is the Queen
"Get up" says the Queen mother calmly
I start to bow
"How dare you throw yourself at my son!" she shouts loudly
My hands start shaking
"What are you waiting for? Take her out of the palace and do not let her back in!" shouts the Queen Mother
Ladies in waiting surround me
"Let me go! I'm the king's favorite!" I shout
With malice in her eyes the Queen Mother says "You may be His Majesty's favorite but I rule in the inner court"
They threw me out of the palace
