Applejack is recruiting ponies to play buckball and has gotten Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy to play but they need a unicorn to play but none have brought success. Snails accidentally catches a ball with success so they put him. On the team along with Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie. Applejack tells them they need to tighten up and be serious. Their coaches are pressuring them and they aren't having any fun and doing worse. To their surprise, Ponyville is more serious about the game then they thought.
The next morning they leave for Appleloosa with more anxiety then before. Fluttershy flips out on Applejack and Rainbow Dash. Who decide to play in their place and get training from them. The five of them play together and have fun. Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy win and Rainbow Dash and Applejack explain that they were better cause they were having fun and not worrying about winning. Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy play and win! They reveal their secret to winning: just have fun
