Two weeks.

Two weeks since Eliza broke it off.

Two weeks since my blog was updated.

Two weeks since I last heard from John.

Laurens was a diamond in the rough that nobody really appreciated.

My problem was that I appreciated him... at the wrong time.

A drunken endeavor, a new bedsheet, a bottle of foundation, a new pack of hairties...

That was three weeks ago. If you squint, I still have hickeys on my collarbone. They're faded, but that's about all that's left of him anyway.

I had drank a few shots too many and gotten a little too handsy. Handsy with the wrong person at the wrong time. But... here I am.

Alone, with no trace of either.

I guess that's what I damn well deserve. I'd like to think differently, but a cheater and a liar don't deserve much in return.

He also left a few hoodies and a sock, but besides that? Nothing. He ran after I publicized the affair, if you will, and he ran the next day.

He ran away. It's been a fortnight.
