Wave After Wave

"The water today is beautiful!" I said looking at my sister smiling. The palm trees were dangling just above our favourite surf spot whilst the sun was shining and the waves were nice and high. "I know. Said Kamri happily we're so lucky we get to come out here everyday!" She was right. We are lucky we live in an amazing beach house with our family and have two beautiful golden retrievers named Husky and Daisy. I paddled out to Amara's Island it was very close to the shore. I stuck my board in the sand and sat against the palm tree that Kamri and I engraved our names on when we were 12. KB+KB. After day dreaming for a while I realised Kamri was on the beach calling my name and once I looked down I realised...........Fins......A dorsal fin sticking out from the water I screamed.Kamri yelled stay calm and I'll get help!!So I sat there fearfully. I decided to take a risk which could save me or kill me. I grabbed my board punched the shark in the nose and paddled back to shore. I tried to pace myself before the shark came back the shore was only about 30metres away. Then it happened. 15metres from the shore I felt a sharp pain at my ankle the shark looked at me  and rushed off. My ankle was bleeding like crazy and I started to feel a little light headed just as that happened, Kamri came running over with my brother and my Dad. My dad rushed out into the water and pulled me to shore away from my pool of blood surrounding me. Kamri flipped me over and called an ambulance whilst my dad applied pressure to the wound. I sat there helplessly, people surrounding me lying in blood stained sand. 5 minutes later the ambulance arrived. The put we on a stretcher and lifted me into the van then off we went to the hospital. We arrived and I remeber nothing but my Mum,Dad and Sister talking and panicking just then I blacked out.
