The new student
"Not much is known of why she's always alone, all we know is that she wasn't always right." Genny's parents explained. Other than being horrible shy and quiet Genesis P. Was an outcast. She never talked to people. She had nothing against them this is just the way she was. Genesis sat alone at school by herself secluded from others, her mind only keeping her company. She always wore her hood in school despite the rules of the school, a rebel some would say though it wasn't true. She felt safer with her hood and the gloves she wore all the time despite the weather. Though Genny sounds like a fun nickname, it wasn't. She was ridiculed and harassed by it because of a rumor spread around by some of the other kids. Right after she started ninth grade her identical twin brother was hit by a car when pushing her out of the way. After he, Gene, died rumors were spread that she pushed him in front of the car because she felt -There could be only one - This wasn't true however, but you know how cruel children can be. They called her Genny, a nickname similar to Genie, Gene's nickname. Other than Genny they called her freak, weirdo, and many other harsh names. "Here she comes!" Shouted one of the boys in her class. Nothing but laughter. "Dude be quite, or you'll be next. We all know what she did!" More laughter. Genesis would have defended herself but for what? Just to be called a liar? She kept her head down and walked to the back of the classroom. All of a sudden a giant thud. Genesis looked down only to see what seemed like millions of faces staring at her. The entire classroom erupted in laughter. Tears welled in her eyes, but she didn't want to cry. She got up and and sat in her desk just as the teacher walked in. "Class this is our new student Michael, he will be joining us for the rest of the school year. Please take the seat in the back near Genesis. Genesis raise your hand." Genesis raised her hand. "Uh oh poor new guy. First day here and he's probably gonna die." The class laughed again.
Michael sat next to her. He greeted her with a smile. She looked down at the desk. She knew if she became friends with anyone they'd be ridiculed too. Genesis wasn't a vengeful person, but that never stopped anyone from talking about her. It was time lunch. A dreadful for Genesis to go to lunch. Though she had no friends it was more embarrassing to sit alone in the middle of the lunch room with her sloppy homemade sandwich.
She sat down and pulled out her ham and cheese sandwich. Just then some of the cheerleaders and jocks came over."Ooh, that sandwich looks good. Did you add some of that brotherly love in there." One of them smirked. Another common rumor is that Genesis tried to eat her brother in order to get rid of the evidence. This rumor started when she started writing the story - Doll Face - and one of the kids read it, and started telling people she based it of of true events. She bit her sandwich trying really hard not to cry. "Josh don't be rude. Let her eat her boy sandwich in peace." Commented one of the cheerleaders. "Okay, but first let me add my own special ingredient." With a savage smack he through her sandwich on the floor. The entire lunch room started laughing. "Whoops, added to much." Josh smirked and with that he and the rest of his clique walked to there table leaving Genesis and her floor sandwich alone in the middle of the lunchroom. "Hey." The voice shocked Genesis back into reality. She turned to see the new boy, Michael. "Hey, can I sit here?" He smiled. Genesis froze along with the lunchroom. It seemed like everyone was in shock. When Michael got no answer he shrugged and sat down. "So what's your name again?" He asked. She stared at him. Was this for real, or was this one of Josh's tricks? Genesis scooted away from him a little bit and he scooted closer to her. Josh came over to the table again and sat next to Michael. "Hey, don't sit to close. I'm pretty sure if she can hurt her family she'll have no trouble hurting you." "Leave her alone. Like seriously what's you're problem?" Nothing but gasp. Genesis was even surprised but only because she still believed it was another sick joke. "Wow, this guy is really committed to the part" she thought.
Riiinnnggg' Almost everyone's favorite thing to hear. The dismissal bell. Genesis grabbed her books and ran right out the school. She started slowing down her pace to a quick walk. "Hey! Hey wait up!" Genesis recognized the voice. Michael. WHAT DID HE WANT! MONEY? At first she slowed down, but she started thinking what if this is just another sick joke? So she started running. For someone so fragile looking she could run really fast. She was used to running considering the fact the kids would chase her in gym, and the teachers would do nothing (thinking it was all in fun). She kept running. "Hey! Slow down!" Michael was right behind her. Why was he so persistent? She turned around to see him coming closer. She tripped. When he finally caught up to her, she was on her back groaning in pain. Michael put his hand out hoping she would grab it. Of course Genesis couldn't trust the gesture so she rolled over and tumbled down the hill, into a ditch. Genesis felt a sharp pain and was only conscious long enough to see a long gash going up her chest.
