Remembering You || Taehyung X Reader ||

Chapter One

After 15 years, I was finally going back to my lake house. Technically, it's my grandparents but they moved.

The drive was long but I didn't mind. My dad was driving so I got to look out the window.

I had forgotten how beautiful it was here. It was so green and it was always the perfect temperature. Except for the days it rained.

Today it was as sunny as ever. Just the way I liked it.

Seeing the lake house, I scream a little from excitement. It's been too long..

As soon as dad parks I quickly run up to the front door and wait for him to unlock the door.

As soon as he does, I run up the stairs and into the room I would always stay in. The light blue wall still looked the same.

I sat down on the bed and looked around, reminiscing about the the old days.

I get up and look outside the window, only to see a boy walking up to the house. Me being myself quickly ran downstairs but hid.

This way he wouldn't see me as I was trying to see him.

Soon there was a knock on the door. Dad walked past me and gave me a funny look and quickly opened the door.

Dad seemed to know the boy. When he opened the door he said " Tae! It's so good to see you!" I heard the boy whisper something but couldn't make it out.

I slyly walked a bit back up the stairs and then walked back downstairs to make it look like I wasn't there the whole time.

When the boy, Tae as dad said, saw me he smiled. I came up to the front door and looked at dad.

"Dad, who's this?"

As soon as I say that, Tae's smile dropped.

Dad gave a sad smile that I didn't understand. "y/n this is Tae. He's our neighbor." I smiled and put my hand out for him to shake.

He reluctantly shook my hand. I really don't understand all this awkwardness but it was whatever.

I smiled and walked away into the kitchen. Dad came back shortly after and spoke. "Tae invited us to his bbq tonight." I smiled. "Sounds like fun!"

I walked away and up to my room and put on a cute bathing suit. I yelled "Dad! I'm going for a swim."

I stride out the front door and quickly ran to the dock. I forgot how beautiful it was.

As soon as I was about to jump in I hear a voice. "Mind if I join?" I turn around quickly.

"It's only been five minutes and you want to join me..?" I laugh and Tae smirks. "Only if it's okay." I nod and jump in, probably splashing Tae.

When I lifted my head from the water, Tae was still standing up on the dock. "You.. You just splashed me."

I laughed and swam away quickly. I could already tell this was going to be a fun summer.

We swam for about 30 minutes. When my fingers were pruning up I lifted myself up onto the dock and sat in the sun.

The dock sways. It's one of those. I hear the water splash a little which means Tae was getting out too.

"You've always.." He starts and I look up at him with squinted eyes. He clears his throat. "I'VE always loved to sit here."

I rest my head back down and look up at the sky. It was kind of weird that he was here. I wasn't expecting this.

There was a short pause and he spoke again. "I better get going so I can go get the guys ready for the barbecue." I look at him again. "Guys?"

"You'll see." I get up and watch him walk away then go to my house. I take a shower and get changed into a loose blue shirt and some black shorts.

I went downstairs and sat at the table. I looked at a picture of my mom. She couldn't be here because of her work sadly. I called her and told her about Tae.

"I remember him." She says. "You do?" She laughs. "Yea. Him and and a boy Jungkook. We called him kookie." I thought for a really long time and I said "OHHHH" really loud.

Mom laughed. "So now you remember him?" I stood up and looked at dad, mentioning that we were leaving to go to the barbecue. "I don't remember Tae but I remember Jungkook."

I hear a sigh on moms end but I ignore it. "Anyways I gotta go. Bye mom love you!" Then we hung up.

"Dad? will Jungkook be there?" I walked up to him. "I think so.. You remember Jungkook." I laughed and nodded my head. "BUT only because mom made me remember."

When we make it there and I see 7 boys. This will be interesting. I first see Tae and he smiled at me.

Next to him and see a boy with black hair and small gauges. Jungkook! I remembered him so well now.

I ran to him and hugged him. Everybody looked at me so weirdly. "Woow it's been SO long!"

He looks down at me "y/n?" I nodded and he gapes. "Wooaah it has been long!" I smile and laugh. I look at everybody else around and they are all staring at us. Tae giving a death glare that I don't understand.

Jungkook clears his throat. "Come on and meet everybody."

"This is Jimin." I shake hands with a boy with kind of like a strawberry blonde hair color and a beautiful smile.

"Thiiis is Yoongi." I smile at him. He has pale skin and a small smile.

A boy comes up to me before Jungkook can say his name. "Hello!! I'm your hope! I'm your Angel. I'm J-Hope!" He says with a smile. I laugh and shake his hand.

Next he introduces me to a boy named Namjoon. He had a really round face and a funny smile. Next was Jin. He was kind and had a kind smile that I liked. 

He walks past Tae. I already knew him but I wondered why he didn't introduce us if he didn't know that. "Hey Tae" I say as I walk past him.

The barbecue was nice and it was super fun getting to know everybody. It was getting late. Dad had already left and we were bored. I yawned and got up.

"I should probably head home." They all smile and wave. Tae gets up and says "I'll walk you." I nod and we walk. It was kind of silent.

At one point his hand brushed against mine. I was thankful that it was dark so that way he wouldn't see me blush.

We stopped in front of my door and as soon as I put my hands on the knob. He kissed my cheek and walked away.

I was shocked. Why would he do that?

I walk in and go to bed. I was sitting wondering. Why did he do that?
