I already felt much better. A day is never complete without complimenting her hideousness at least once.

We both sat there and chatted for hours. She ranted about how awful the food here is, and of course did not forget to tell me how she kept checking out all the young doctors in here. Same old Katie, she's been like that her entire 24 years of a life and it seems like she will remain like that for a while.

We ordered Chinese food and watched Titanic on the TV that's hanging on the wall in front of us, criticising every actor and actress.

When I was standing by the door, about to leave, I sent Kate a flying kiss followed by a middle finger.

It's totally normal. Our friendship is based on quite weird things. Speaking to or treating each other with disrespect or scornful abuse is a gesture of love. Don't judge. It's not like our intentions are to hurt each other. heck, if a bee stung me Kate would go nuts trying to hunt it down then squash it ever so slowly and sorely.

We both get each other. "One of the most beautiful qualities of true friendship is to understand and to be understood." Lucius Annaeus Seneca said. And he was right in every way possible!

..

She was right about the young docs, they're gorgeous. She should be thanking me...

For breaking her arm? Yea not really.

I rolled my eyes at... well, myself as I strolled out of the hospital with a smile on my face, swinging my hands like a 9-year-old girl.

What's making me this happy? I'm visiting the orphanage which is basically my happy place!

Before I could grab my bike, my phone started ringing like crazy.

IT WAS ANDREW.

As if I wasn't already way too excited, that idiot made me start dancing like crazy, in public.

"Heya! You like pizza?" was the first thing he said once I answered.

"I love pizza, but I was gonna go to the orphanage... HEY!" I screamed at the top of my voice. "Wanna tag along? It will be fun, I promise."

(Half an hour later)

We entered into my favourite "hangout" room. It used to be just an empty room on the second floor. But after saving up for around two weeks, I got a TV and other furniture fitted in.

All the cute little children that weren't on their weekend trip were in there and rushed towards us as soon as they noticed our presence.

I looked over my shoulder to Andy, seeing he had a huge smile on his face, just like I did on my first day here.

We hugged them one by one, and along came Skylar at the end of the queue.

"Hey Sky, meet Andrew. He's a new friend of mine who's also sort of a goofball."

She laughed, hugged him and couldn't stop smiling from then on.

"Hi, nice to meet you!" he said in such a sweet voice.

She gave him a smile then hurried to my side tugging on my jeans. I scooted down to her and she went to my ear. She tried to whisper but it was clear for everyone in the room to hear.

"You should cuddle up with him, he's fluffy."

My face swelled up as I tried to not laugh. I saw him blush and that was when I lost it and went crazy, rolling on the carpet like a maniac.

"I love you Sky," I said wiping tears from my eyes.

Real happiness is cheap enough, yet how dearly we pay for its counterfeit.
