If you saw a person, a man, or a woman, crying alone in a dark corridor, what would you do? Would you help? Would you step up to that person, help him to his feet, and ask him what's wrong? You think yes, you hope yes, because yes is the logical answer: the kind answer, the kind of answer you were raised to choose. Everyone wants others to see them as kind, no one wants to be seen as what they are. No one wants to be different. But the truth is, no, in my world you wouldn't. It's someone you don't know, it's someone you never saw, and never will see again. Meddling would mean trouble, meddling would mean difference. You would just pass that person, ignore that person, let that person die. Like me. I passed, I ignored that person. And now there is no going back. In 30 days, the world is going to end. We are hopeless, Humanity is hopeless, I am hopeless.
