"Rainbow Dash! You're here!" Twilight greeted. Rainbow Dash nodded.
"Ya sorry I was late. I had to save a guy that was falling out of the sky."
"Huh?" The girls asked, confused.
"Soarin was trying to kick a soccer goal from a airplane and then fell out." She replied, casually.
"Oh, uh, ok. Say, isn't Soarin the captain of the soccer team?" Apple Jack asked.
"The Asssistant captain. But yeah. He's really annoying."
"oooo someone's got a crush!" Rarity exclaimed jokingly. Rainbow Dash looked bored.
"Right Rarity. And you love dirt."
"Oh stop darling, I'm just playing." Rainbow Dash rolled here eyes as the other girls laughed.
"So anyways, how have your guys' day been? I didn't see much of you today."
"It was splenderific! I got a A on my math test! That test was really hard! I'm so happy that I did good. Oh and I also found this pink bracelet! O.M.G!!!!! What if the reason I found this braclet was BECAUSE I did so good on my math test. That would be so-" Pinkie was cut off by Rainbow Dash's hand over her mouth.
"We get it! Enough already!" She exclaimed rolling her eyes. Suddenly, she heard a buzz from her phone. She shot up in her seat, opening her phone with wide eyes.
Sure enough, it was the email. She clicked on it, and read it slowly, carefully studying each word.
Dear Ms. Dash,
We are happy to inform you that you have made the Canterlot High Soccer Team.  Practices are every day after school, from 3-5. Dress code: Shorts, uniform shirt, knee pads, cleats, socks. Welcome to the team!
She finished reading, and squealed. Yes, that's right. She SQUEALED. But who cares. She was on the team! After her squeal, she then proceeded to jump up and down, much to Mrs. Cakes disapproval.
      "Whoohoo! I'm on the team!"
Rarity gasped. "Congratulations darling! I'm so proud of you!"
"We knew you could do it" Applejack agreed.
"We should TOTALLY have a 'Congratulations you're on the Team' party! Oooo that would be so fun! We could invite the rest of the soccer team, and have balloons and streamers and punch and a dj and a cake and it would be. So. FUN!" Pinkie Pie squealed, floating in the air.
"Girls, please. I have other costumers you know." Mrs. Cake interrupted
Rainbow stopped jumping. "Sorry Mrs. Cake." Mrs. Cake nodded, and resumed her work.
"This. Is. So. Awesome!" She exclaimed pressing her palms towards her cheeks.
The girls giggled. Twilight checked her watch. "Oh sorry girls, I have to go. Got to study! See you tomorrow! Congratulations Rainbow Dash." She said as she picked up Spike from Rarity's hands and headed out the door. The girls waved.
"Im going head out to. I'm plum tuckered. Can I give any of you a ride?" AJ asked.
Fluttershy and Sunset raised their hands.
"Bye!" They said, as they left the cafe.
Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash were left. It was quiet for a couple moments. They didn't know why exactly...They were best friends! But they just didn't know what to say.
Rarity coughed, before saying "well darlings,
As much fun as this has been, I think it's time for me to head home."
Pinkie nodded. "Yeah me to. Bye Rainbow Dash! Bye Rarity!"
"Bye Pinkie. Bye Rarity." Rainbow Dash said with a nod. She was alone at the table now, and was thinking about the team. After all, there was a lot of players that she had known for a long time, and that she had always admired.
First, there was Fleetfoot. She was a fun gal mostly; she loved to tease the other teammates and make jokes, and enjoyed doing so. Yet, she was always focused and serious when it came to practice and games. That took skill, in Rainbow's opinion.
Next there was Fire Streak and Lighting Streak, who were always focused and serious. They always gave 110% in their work. Plus, they were twins!
Then there was Surprise, who was basically a Pegasus version of Pinkie Pie. She was always being crazy and wild. Which, luckily, gave her serious speed. It was probably the only reason she was on the team.
Then comes Misty Fly, a truly remarkable flier. Why? She was deaf! She couldn't hear, and yet she was one of the mvp? That was truly amazing, and it inspired Rainbow Dash.
After that, is Rapidfire. Rapidfire was the enemy of Soarin, and it's not to hard to tell why. He was a good player and all, but he would flirt with every girl that walked past, goof off during warm ups, make fun of other kids, and purposefully would trip Soarin every chance that he could. Rainbow Dash didn't like him AT ALL. In fact, she probably hated him as much as Soarin did!
Which leads us to the next player, Soarin. Rainbow Dash found his goofy ways cute, but to her, he seemed to not care as much as he should. That was why she found every opportunity she could to point out was he was doing wrong, in hope that he could get better.
Last, was Spitfire. Spitfire was kind, but she pushed you a lot harder then most of the other coaches. Granted, this wasn't a bad thing, but it tended to get tiring after a while. Of course, no one would ever have the guts to tell her that.
There was more members of the team, such as High Winds, Silver Zoom, Sun Chaser, Wave Chill, Wind Waker, and more, but Rainbow Dash didn't know them as well.
She was going to continue her thoughts, but she was interrupted by the sound of someone pulling out the chair across from her. She looked up, and much to her dismay, was Soarin.
"Hi. Can I help you?" She asked annoyed.
"Oh sorry Rainbow Dash, I just wanted to ask if you knew wether you were on the team not." At that, Rainbow Dash lit up.
"Oh yeah! I just got the email. I'm so pumped!" She grinned at him, as he grinned back.
"Well good. I expect that you are going to give your very best?"
"Psh, no way. I'm going to give more than my best! In fact, I'll be so good, that you won't even be able to call me Rainbow Dash anymore! You'll have to call me.... Uh.... Rainbow Fast! Or something." She said with bright eyes.
Soarin laughed. "Yeah well, don't get to ahead of yourself. You're not the only one who is a good player on the team" she nodded, but still held a grim expression on her face. There was a moment of silence, before he continued.
"Well, congrats Dash, I'm heading out. See you at practice!" He told her as he stood up from the chair, got his keys, and headed out the door.
"See ya." She replied, thinking of what a weirdo he was. She laughed to herself, remembering that she was actually going to have to spend time with the 'weirdo'. But hey, it wouldn't be so bad. In fact, it could ALMOST... ALMOST...be fun!
