"Alright fine Mr.Grumpy. But when we're at your house I'm going to play twenty questions with you and get to know you better." Phil explains, crossing his arms as well and wearing a smirk.

"And why would you want to do that?" Dan looks back and him, studying his face to try and find out what he was planning behind his crooked smirk.

"Because you interest me Daniel. The cool kid in the back of the room who blocks everyone out, what wouldn't I want to know?" Dan scoffs at Phil's answer and shakes his head.

"In that case, prepare to be disappointed."

Class after class goes by and each class he has with Phil he tries his hardest to spark conversation with Dan and learn about him. Although all his attempts didn't work out so well, Dan would just shrug him off or make a snark remark to shut him up.

However now talking to Phil was unavoidable as he sat on Dan's lap with his legs dangling over Pj who thought this was the funniest thing in the world.

"I want my hatred for you to be known Philip. After I'm done tutoring you promise you won't talk to me ever again." Dan scowls.

Phil holds his hand up and crosses his fingers. "I promise." He says with a smile that gets Pj to laugh.

"I hate you to Pj, don't talk to me or tell Chris about this. Phil just has no where else to sit."

"Actually there's an empty seat behind us." Pj informs him with a smile.

"I hate you both." Dan turns his head to look out the window but Phil's hand grabs his face and stops him. "What are you-" Phil kisses his cheek and Dan pushes him away. "Eww gross why the hell did you do that?!" Dan yells, wiping his face rid of Phil's lips

"There! Pj you owe me three quid!" Phil laughs and Pj pouts as he hands him the money.  Dan scowls and looks out the window at all the passing scenery out the bus window. "So Dan, where exactly do you live?"

"The next stop now stop talking to me or else I will break you." Dan snaps, shocking both Pj and Phil.

They stop talking to him after that, and Phil and Pj start bantering and laughing with the other. Finally the bus stops where Dan gets off and him and Phil leave the bus. Phil talks merrily and skips the whole way, which Dan doesn't appreciate.

"Have you even wondered what love feels like? What the famous 'tingly feeling' actually feels like? Do you know it's happening? What if someone just thought they were sick when it was really love and avoided someone because they though they were allergic to them? That would be terrible but also really funny. I bet it's probably happened before. Poor kid-"

"Do you ever shut up?" Dan turns around and snaps again at Phil.

"Sorry." Phil pouts and holds onto the straps of his back pack. "I'm just trying to make small talk. I'm also kind of nervous."

"Nervous? Why?" Dan asks.

"Because this is the second day of school and I'm already going to someone's house, and seeing how grumpy you are, it's not on good terms, even though I'm trying to change that." Phil sighs. "I actually don't know why I'm nervous. I just get anxiety at the worst of times." He fiddles with his back pack straps.

Dan doesn't reply, just leads Phil to his house and opens the door for him. The new kid thanks him quietly and walks into his house. "Mum I'm home!" Dan calls into the house, no reply. "I also brought someone from school." He hears the thumping of footsteps from upstairs and his mum is then seen bounding down the stairs.

"I'm so glad to hear that Dan!" Her hair is a mess since she probably hasn't had much time to brush it while taking care of his sister. She walks over to Phil and shakes his hand. "I'm so happy to meet you I'm Dan's mum, Mrs.Howell or Julie choose which ever one were raised to call adults. I'm just so excited to meet you and I'm so happy Dan has been making friends!"
