Chapter 2

So here's the thing. Hindi ako masyadong nakatulog kagabi. Siguro dahil sa I am really looking forward to our trip. To add to that, kanina pa ako ready to go, since 7 am, really and now I am pacing back and forth in this apartment while glancing on my wrist watch every once in a while until the hand moved to 8 and the doorbell rang.

Nagmadali akong buksan ang pinto and what met me didn't disappoint.

He's here. Sharp on time. I like men gaya niya.

"Good Morning" he greeted me while smiling

"Good Morning too" bati ko rin sa kaniya

"I hope you were able to rest well last night kasi mahaba haba rin ang travel natin ngayon" he said as we rode the elevator

"saan ba tayo pupunta?" tanong ko

"In a multitude of places so prepare to have yor mind blown" he said and the lift door opened and we proceeded to what looks like a rental car.

"After you, milady" he said as he opened the door for me and all I can do is that nothing would ruin this good start of a day.

Turns out na roadtrip pala yung mangyayari, mabuti nalang na ang sinuot kong damit is really comfortable.

The entire ride was filled with laughter. This guy has a really good sense of humour. So we were talking and talking while munching on our scones until something caught my attention.

We were approaching River Colne, as the sign said.

"Asan na tayo?" I enquired nung bumaba na kami

"This is the Chappel. But what we really came here for is this" sabi niya before he dragged me into a run towards the back of the chapel and I can't help but giggle.

I have never felt this carefree since I was 25.

Unti unting dumahandahan ang takbo namin and we were met by a sight.

"This is the Chappel Viaduct. This has been hailed as the second largest brick built structure dito sa England. The foundation stone for this man made wonder was laid on September 14 1847 nang ang isang bote na may lamang newly minted sovereign, a half-sovereign, a shilling, a sixpence and a four-penny piece was placed underneath this stone. Pero shortly after the ceremony, it was stolen. Luckily, the culprit was caught after he tried to pass over a brand new sovereign coin in the Rose and Crown public house " sabi niya as he lead me to the other side of the viaduct

"Wow. Where are we really?" I asked

"Right now, near Wakes Colne, Essex. And this is the best part" sabi niya and we walked to the picturesque Valley of Colne

"This Deli@ 56's deli is the best I've ever tasted" sabi ko sa kaniya as I took a bite and he chuckled

"I'm glad it pleases you." He replied as he took a sip of his soda while driving.

"so where are we going next?" I asked

"You'll see" sagot niya and we sped away
