All my bags are packed and I'm ready to go. I know, cliché really ang saying na iyan but it's true. I am going to be flying to London for a fashion show next week. As a woman on the verge of renaissance, hindi ko inakala na I will still be given a break in a fashion world mostly dominated by millennial people, but here I am. On the way to NAIA for a wonderful adventure. What I didn't know was that a simple plain ride would turn into a rollercoaster.
Papasok ako ng airport ng magkabanggaan kami ni JC. It's been a year since our well-ended relationship and what are the chances that we are going to meet in a terminal where a lot of people come and go. He's got a new girlfriend now at mukhang masaya naman. And I'm happy for him. I'm just so glad that the both of us doesn't hold grudges against one another.
I was pushing my cart when it crashed another one.
"Oh I am so sorry" I said
"Let me help you" the man said and who am I to refuse?
"So, you're flying to London?" he asked out of no where
Just how did he know that?
"Uhhm, yeah" I answered na nagdadalawang isip
"I guess we are on the same flight!" he said
"Really?" tanong ko ulit
"Yeah.. You're passport" he said handing my passport.
Damn it Chrissy! Nahulog po pala ang passport mo kaya niya nalaman. Huwag ka ngang mag-isip ng kung anu-anu diyan!
"Thanks" pagpapasalamat ko sa kaniya
"Sabay na tayo" aya niya and I didn't refuse
And what luck do I really have that we even have seats beside each other.
"Kanina pa tayo magkasama and I guess we are going to be together for quite some time in this aeroplane, so why don't introduce each other? I'm Gabriel Mendez" he said offering for a handshake which I willingly took rin
"Christy. Christy Gonzales"
"So what brings you to London?" tanong ko sa kaniya
"Just looking for a change in scenery" he answered immediately
"What about you, Christy?" he asked
"A fashion show" I answered as vaguely as I can
"So you're a fashion designer" he commented at nag nod ako
"What's your story?" tanong niya ulit but this time, with a smirk.
And I found myself compelled to tell him stuff. And it went on from this.

"Passengers for flight 143, have now landed" announce ng isang stewardess sa intercom and we all prepared to go down and Prince Charming here decided to be a gentleman and waited for me.
"So kailan yung fashion show mo?" he asked
"Next week" sagot ko
"Where?" he asked again
"Wouldn't you want to know" I teased him
"You really are something, Christy Gonzales. Don't worry I'll be there. I'll find out where" he said and carried on.
And somehow I hoped that he will be.
