In Love With My Best Friend

How we meet

My phone goes off. I get up and go to the shower. I start to sing to the music playing in my bathroom. My outfit is black pants, a red plaid shirt, and with boots. After I was ready I stand in front of the mirror. I see my eyes change color. The way they glow makes me scared. What is the reason?

I get downstairs and turn the corner. When my mom sees me "Good morning to you too." My mom said.

"I was going to say good morning to you mom." I said.

Ten minutes later I am walking to my bus stop. I call my sister to wake her up. My sister is named Emily. We did not go to the same school. Five minutes in to the bus ride I am thinking about everything. I feel nervous. In the name of God please don't do anything not human.

I got my classes and my locker. I was having a hard time opening my fucking locker. I give up and went to my first period. I stop in my tracks to see this beautiful girl. She looked so pretty in outfit. Thanks to the teachers I sit next to her the first day. "Hi." I said to her.

"Hey, my name is Maria." She said to me. I can't stop smiling at her. I finally say. "oh that's a nice name, I'm Noemi. So Maria do you like history?" I asked her. "Yes I like it a lot. Noemi how was your summer?" She asks me. "It was okay, and your summer?" I ask her looking at her and getting lost in her beautiful green eyes. "It was good." She said to me. We just stared at each other for like seems like forever but was only 2 minutes. And since then we have been friends.

Slowly, I started to feel things in my stomach. Everytime I would see Maria I would loss it. One time I had to run from her to not show my secret. Why did I have to be like this? Every class I had was a good one but I did not expect to be in love with my new life. Am I ready to be the new me or am I scared? I want to tell her but I can't.
