(Y/n) POV
'Damn, my head hurts' I thought to myself
"(Y/n), (Y/n), (Y/n)" I heard someone say and I opened my eyes and it was one of my old friends back at the tower and he hit my shoulder
"Come on man, you know it's not good to fall asleep in training" he said and I lifted my head up and I looked around and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It was one of the training floors that I used, back when I was in training
"(Y/n)! Mind telling me what is so boring?" my old teacher yelled at me. I looked down and my old trainer was standing by his table with his weapon, the infamous Red Death, right behind him, and wearing his dark blue and gray Cryptid 4.6.2 armor, his names Felix, he was part of the team that successfully raided the Vault of Glass, and the vanguard now had him training new guardians
"N-n-nothing sir" I said and he sighed
"Back to what I was saying" I remember this day, it was one of those rare days when Felix wasn't making us run drills constantly and constantly yelling at everybody Oh yeah, here comes that one guy who thinks he knows everything
"Why are we learning this, I already know how to shoot, besides I'm a Titan, not a hunter" said one of the guys upfront 'here it comes' and Felix stopped
"alright, if you think you don't need this" and (Y/n) pulled out a big box full of parts and dropped in in front of the Titan
"Build me a Genghis-E machine gun" and the Titan looked at the parts with clear confusion
"B-b-but-" and Felix cut him off by saying
"What? I thought you were done here" and the Titan slumped into his chair
"What? Nothing? I thought you were good to go, off to go reclaim the Cosmodrome, well then" and Felix went back to his desk and picked up his knife. He then whipped around and threw it into the wall next to the Titan
"Shut your mouth, sit your ass down, and listen, and maybe you'll learn something" and Felix ripped his knife out of the wall
"Class dismissed" he said waving us out. We all went out of the room and I saw Amelia running towards me "(Y/n)" she kept calling and my head started hurting
"(Y/n), (Y/n), (Y/n)" and it paused for a second
"(Y/N)!" I heard her yell and I opened my eyes and I was back to normal and I was laying on the ground
"damn it" I said and I looked around and Amelia was looking down at me while I could see fire out of the windows in the city
"what's going on?" I said getting up and I put on my helmet and hood
"It's the Fallen, they're invading the city" she said pointing to the Fallen ketch that was outside hovering above the city
"What happened?" I said getting 'The Last Word'
"When that ship came into the city it blew out all the windows and you got knocked out for a little bit" she said getting her pulse rifle out
"where's Ivan?" I asked walking over to the window
"He's with some of the mages trying to clear out the fallen and save any survivors" and we both jumped out
"which way did he go?" I asked looking at the multiple craters dotting the palace
"Don't know, let's just follow the path of dead fallen and (Y/n)" and I walked over to one of the dead Fiore soldiers, his face frozen in a terror scream
"(Y/n)" she called again
"What?"
"Do you think this is how it happened, when the fallen first came to Earth, the terror and panic" and I placed my hand on her shoulder
"Don't worry, this time is different, we'll save as many as we can" and she nodded and we started following the path of destruction. It wasn't that hard to find, like Amelia said, just follow the bodies and we eventually found him standing on top of one of the houses shooting at some fallen, Natsu, Lucy, Erza, Gray and Juvia were also there with him keeping them away while people ran
"Ivan" I called up to him and he jumped down
"Glad to see your still kicking"
"Glad your still up too, so, how bad is it?" I asked him and he sat down and his ghost projected a map of the city
"Not good, we've cleared the area around the palace and the people are advised to head there but if they can't, stay hidden and stay off the streets"
"Alright, hey, everyone come here" and everyone huddled around us
"Here's the game plan, our main priority is civilian safety, if you see anyone tell them to head back the way we came and don't stop, if anything alien stands between you and that objective, put it down" I said and everyone nodded
"Uh (Y/n), what do we do about that?" Gray said pointing to a walker tank heading for us
"Leave that to us, we'll make an opening" and they nodded. Me, Amelia, and Ivan ran at the walker and I got Black spindle to shoot at it's legs, while Amelia did the same with her sniper, Ivan boosted up to a higher ledge to get a better vantage point. Once it was immobilized I yelled
"Ivan, now!' and he jumped up and used his Fist of Havoc and smashed into the exposed part of the walker, destroying it
"Great, now you guys go, we'll keep them off of you" I said to Fairy Tail and they each went into the burning city
"Look out!" Amelia yelled and the tanks gun fired. I t hit near me and knocked me into a wall hard. I got on my hands and knees and grunted. I felt something grab me and a fallen Baron lifted me up by my throat
"Sonovabitch" I said struggling in it's grip. I raised one of it's blades and was about to kill me but three gunshots rang out, and the baron dropped dead. I heard footsteps coming towards me and a familiar voice say
"Get up, I know your tougher than that" and a gloved hand reached out to help me up
"Felix?" I said looking up at my old teacher
"The one and only" his Red Death held in the other hand as it looked like the bayonet was freshly sharpened, ready to gut anything caught on the end and it's safe to say we all have a fair share of work to do to make sure this planet doesn't have to go through what ours did, and we'll make the fallen pay in blood for every inch of ground they gain on this world and our own.
