A story about this enthusiastic yet somewhat mischievous girl and her newfound crush. Their meeting could only have been fate because they were tailor-made for each other. They didn't realise when, but them playing around changed to a bond that seem...
"Here," she said handing me a cookie she took out of her little Minions bag once we pulled away.
She looked right and left, making sure no one was near before whispering in my ear, "It has pixie dust which means it's magical. I'm sure it'll make you happy."
I chuckled looking at her in awe. She's so sweet.
I then kissed her goodbye before she went back to the bus and I continued walking home.
I'll have to admit, Sky's probably the one and only able to cheer me up in times like this.
..
"Kate!" I shouted trying to get her attention.
We were in Starbucks chatting about my date with Andrew two days ago. I can't stop giggling whenever I think of it. Oh my granola bar, I'm feeling dragons (not even butterflies) fluttering in my stomach.
Well, we were chatting until kate decided to be her stalking self and stare at the same hot guy from last time as he happened to be sitting a few tables away.
I sighed, "Go talk to him and stop being creepy."
"But... I don't know," she groaned. "What if he thinks I'm weird? What if uhh... what if he has a girlfriend?"
I rolled my eyes. Oh, and they say I'm the shy one.
"For God's sake woman, go already."
"Lilly what if he's married?!" She exaggerated.
Why do I have to deal with stubborn idiots? Like, when I thought I finally got rid of Nora and Alex's stupidity, comes Kate-duckn-lyn. Oh, that sounds like duckling. I love ducklings. Especially the yellow ones-
Uhh... how did I end up thinking about ducklings?
"Do you think I should go? Like, maybe introduce myself or something. But-but what will I say? Hi, I'm Katelyn Tony Reed, you're drop-dead-gorgeous I can't keep my eyes off you-" she was rambling.
"Hell no." I cut her off. "Leave the last part out. Or, you know what? Do it. Go for it. Take the risk!"
I opened my bag, ruffled through the stuff inside till I found what I needed.
"Here," I said handing her the cookie Skylar gave me this morning, "Take it, eat it or whatever. It'll give you good luck I guess."
She smiled then took a deep breath. With all the courage she has, she stood up.
Not a moment passed, and she sat back down.
I furrowed my eyebrows my brow narrowing my eyes. "What's wrong?"
She scowled in displeasure, "He's leaving."
I turned around only to see the guy picking up the book he was reading and heading towards the door.
I looked back at Kate and in a blink of an eye, I yanked her arm quickly following the guy.
"No no, no Lilly, it's fine I don't think I actually want-"
"Shut up." I hissed.
Once we were a few feet behind him I took her hands in mine and patted them softly. "This is your chance. Go get him tigress. Go make me proud." I uttered encouragingly giving her a small smile.
A few moments later she came back and when I raised my eyebrows as if asking what happened she started squealing, jumping up and down.
"OH MY GOSH LILLYYYYY, I GOT HIS NUMBER."
I smiled, "I think I deserve a 'Thank you for literally dragging me to talk to him Lills. I appreciate your help and I'm willing on treating you sometime in Baskin Robins. I love you so much, you rock' ."
She rolled her eyes mumbling, "Whatever."
I squinted my eyes at her. "You ungrateful female grasshopper."
"I hate grasshoppers."
"I know. That's why I insulted you as one." I said.
"Lalalalalala whatever whatever whatever."
I huffed angrily and pushed her.
It was meant to be a joke... it wasn't even THAT hard. It's not my fault she's a frail weakling.
Let's just say things didn't end up well when my push caused her to trip on a rock and fall hitting her arm.
It wasn't surprising at all that the day ended the way it did. It was freakily terrible from the moment I woke up falling off my bed.
Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather.
