Today was the last day that all my friends and I were getting together and I wasn't up for it. I had left the party early, they were all excited about embarking on their new lives. I was happy for them they all knew exactly what they wanted to do with their lives and I had no clue. I had finally graduated I was glad that school was over and I wasn't ready to go to college and plant my nose in more books.

I hated spending my time indoors and I hated living in my small drab town, my dream was to travel the world and experience life. When I was ten years old my father took me hunting, he wanted a boy but got stuck with me. The first time I held a gun I was nervous and excited at the same time I loved that feeling, I never cared to know what the guns actually were I just loved to shoot them.

It made my dad happy and it was something we could do to bond with each other, then when I twelve I tried out for the boys football team. It seemed that I was always searching for something new and more exciting I love try things and when people told me I couldn't it made me push harder. Of course the boys weren't happy and I accidental got my collarbone broken but it was a thrill running down that field. They couldn't catch me I was a natural born runner but I had no idea how to play football and ended up crushed.

My entire life my mother complained that I lived to want to give her daily heart attacks, but it never stopped me from being me. I was always wanted to try new things lucky for me my parents had the means and my father always pushed me to go after what I wanted. I did sky diving, snowboarding, drag racing all before I was seventeen. It was what made my father and I close but ended up putting up putting distance between my mother and I. We would do little things together but they would never end up well she was a girlie girl all the way always trying to stuff me in heels.

I sat on the edge of the pier by my house, I would come here almost every night and look up at the sky and just think. My entire life I had always felt like I was missing something, I had always felt out of place I could stand in a crowded room and sometimes still feel alone. I never had to want or ask for anything and as much as my mother protests they never stopped me from trying new things. Even when I told them I didn't want to go to college and take time off I thought my mother would be the first one to disagree. But she surprised and they both agreed that they would fund me my trip around the world and I couldn't wait.

Landing Valley was a town full of farms if you didn't live here then the strong stench of manure would defiantly make you pass out. It was place where traffic was constantly stopped because of the large duck farms that were located all over. I don't think I have ever gone one day without seeing some kind of animal here it was the country through and through. I couldn't wait to see what else was out there and I spent hours daydreaming about it.

I stood up deciding I would give Jake a call, we would fool around every now and then and he only went to parties to snag drinks and leave.

It was eight p.m. and oddly my house was dark, I got an eerie chill as I unlocked the front door and I stepped inside I struggled to find the light switch and someone cleared there throat.

"Do not be alarmed."The man replied.

"Oh yeah says the shadowy figure in my living room." I snorted.

He clicked on the light switch next to the couch and it revealed the most beautiful man.

He had perfect curly jet black hair and dark green menacing eyes that seemed to peer right through me. I had never seen him before and in a town like this a man like him would always stand out and he had on an all black suit and shined dressed shoes. He was tall, toned and his presence made him seem like he was older even though he looked no older than me.
