This chapter goes out to RawrNiquole for making my lovely book cover. She's amazing at making these covers! She has talent, so go read her stuff! :)

After dinner I excused myself from the table, and went up to my room. Since it was wintertime I changed into some pajama pants and a long sleeved t-shirt. I walked out into the hallway and decided to explore just a bit. I walked past Darryn's door and continued down the long hallway. The hallway split off and made a 'T', I went to the left and followed the hallway too the end. There was only one door and it was right infront of me. I put my hand on the doorknob and jiggled it. Nothing, it was locked.

"It won't open. Mom has the only key to it. Don't worry though, I don't even know what's in there." I jumped at the sound of the voice, then turned to it. It was only Darryn. "Hey, what're you doing here," I asked him. He just laughed and motioned me towards him. "I could ask you the same thing, silly girl. Come on, we can go watch some TV," he told me all this while grabbing my hand and pulling me down the hallway I just walked down. We passed his door and I stopped him. I heard voices, whispering. Coming from the room just past Darryn's room. He turned and looked at me with a confused look. "What's wrong? Let's go," now Darryn just sounded impaitent.

"Shh. I hear something. It sounds like a man and woman." I whispered to him. Darryn looked at me with a crazy look, and then his eyes got wide. I grabbed his hand and pulled him into his room. I walked to the wall that was next to the room where the voices were and pressed my ear to it.

"... He has a right to know.... I'm his....."

"Oh shut up! You.... And now you want to..... Just leave... Don't bother coming...." The voices were muffled but I could clearly make out what some of the words were. I walked back over to Darryn, and then a door opened and then slammed shut. "Darryn what was that about? Who was that? Darryn..." Darryn turned away when I started asking questions. I placed a hand on his shoulder, after he sat on his bed, and also sat behind him. I took my my hand off his shoulder and wrapped it around his shoulder, and leaned my head into his back. I felt a hand on my hand and I smiled into his back. "Tomorrow, I'll take you out and show you the grounds. There are some woods back behind the house. I found this awesome creek, you'll like it. But... um... let's just watch tv. We'll watch it in here," I removed my arm and Darryn turned around to face me. He smiled at me andwrpped me in a big hug. I shocked, this was a step closer to liking eachother. A step closer to making this arranged marriage to work. I hugged him back and then we both let go.

Darryn got up and walked over to a big cabinet and opened it to reveal a huge flatscreen. He turned it on and held up two movies. "Which one? The Dilemma or Hall Pass I wanna watch the first one." He held up the two movies. I had wanted to see both of these movies for a very long time. I just couldn't decide. But I ended up pointing towards The Dilemma. I nestled myself into Darryn's bed and watched him put the disc in the DVD player. When the movie started to play Darryn went off into his bathroom and changed. He came out in shorts and a t-shirt. I smiled at him and he flexed. "Like what you see?" He laughed out and stopped flexing. He layed down next to me and wrapped an arm around me. I layed my head on his shoulder and laughed at the movie. Here I was watching a movie with a guy I couldn't stand to be around just a couple hours ago. I couldn't believe this. I couldn't already be falling for him. Could I? Oh, I hope not. I just can't, not yet. I need to know more about this guy. But before the movie was halfway over I fell asleep. Darryn didn't move my body, he just let me sleep on his chest. I was glad he didn't move me. I don't think I could've had a more peaceful, dreamless sleep.
