You stood on the sidelines, your hair in a high ponytail, a big bow in it. Your were wearing your sweatpants, fighting against the chilly weather. You saw your boyfriend run up and down the field, getting tackled. You flinched; You always hated him getting tackled, you were scared he would get hurt.
You sighed in relief when he rose, cheering with the rest of your squad as your coach called off your favorite cheer. (I'm in band so I don't really know any cheers..)You turned back around, searching for your boyfriend in the crowd of football players. You found his number, just as he got tackled to the ground, hard.
You waited for him to get up, to shake it off like it was nothing. But he didn't. He didn't move. When the coach called out that he was injured, tears grew in your eyes, making your vision blurry. You ran out to Hayes, sobbing quietly, before sliding to his side.
"Hayes, baby, are you okay?" you asked quietly, moving out of the way for the EMT. The coach removed his helmet, ushering you over. He placed Hayes head in your lap, and you automatically ran your hands through his hair. "It hurts Y/N." He finally replied, tears leaking out of his bright eyes.
"I know baby, I know." You held his hand, and they checked him over. When they reached knee, he let out a howl of pain. "He's popped his knee out of place;we gotta pop it back. Can you hold him down please?" The EMT asked you, and you nodded. You straddled across his waist, holding both of his hands and looking into his glassy eyes. "Kiss me." He begged, looking up at you.
You planted your lips on his, just as the EMT pulled his lower leg harshly. Hayes whimpered on your lips, tears leaking out his eyes quickly. "We're good." You head the EMT say, and you got of off Hayes, helping him up. "Thank you Y/N." The coach said from the other side of Hayes, and you nodded at him, relief pumping through your veins.
"Hayes, you need to ice your knee. Sit by the wall, leg straight out." You gave Hayes hand a tight squeeze before you walked over to your coach. "Go stay with him Y/N. He's going to get bored." You smiled at your coach, before jogging over to your handsome boyfriend, sitting next to him.
"Thank you for helping me Y/N." Hayes croaked out, his throat sore from crying. "Always Hayes, I love you to much not to." Hayes looked over at you, and smiled his beautiful smile. "I love you too Y/N."
