Skye walked in the door of her home. Her cat, Grey, greeted her at the door. She threw down her coat and saw a note left by her mother. She took the small post-it note off the wall.
I'll be home soon, your father and I are speaking your principal.
Skye crumbled the post-it note in her hand and put it in her hoodie pocket. She sat down at the dining table and took her laptop out of her book bag. As soon as she logged in, emails and lots of other notifications flooded in. All from one person, Britney Zimmerly.
Skye used to be best friends with Britney, Bri as she would call her, but Bri started bullying her, calling her rude names and pushing her around at school. It had been going on for atleast two months. Skye really didn't know how much she could take of it. She slammed down the screen of her laptop and left it on the dining table. She ran to her room, covering her face.
"Why can't she just leave me alone?" Skye mumbled. She stuffed her face into her pillow, trying her best to hold back tears.
Bitch, you should go die.
Skye thought of all of the things Bri said to her. She's begged her parents to switch school, but they thought that the whole thing would go away. Skye believed it never would. She took a bag and stuffed it with socks, pants, shirts, two hoodies, and an extra pair of shoes. She took her phone for emergencies, and stuffed her laptop into her bookbag. 'I'll run away. Far from Bri. Far from this place.' Skye opened her window bc climbing out of it quietly. She felt horrible for leaving her parents, but she knew she would end up somewhere better. She shut her window the best she could, looking in at her room for one last time for turning and running for the woods. "I'm sorry Mom and Dad, it's not you..." She said to herself.
