"Mom" he whispered as he enetered his house

"Barry " she left the knife she was holding for cutting the vegetables and ran to hug Barry

"My beautiful boy " she said as she hugged her tight

He smiled and hugged her back

"How are you , mom ! " he asked pulling away

"I'm fine , how are you ? Where have you been " he asked a little worried

"I've been working !" He said with uncertainity "how's , how's dad doing?" He asked

"He is , he is doing okay " she said stumbling upon her words

"Mom" he held her shoulders

"Tell me " he said standing firm

She looked in his eyes and suddenly burst into tears

He hugged his mother once again "Mom," he whispered
Rubbing her shoulder , " its gonna be okay " he said not sure if it was true or not

Barry's mother pulled herself together and wiped her tears pulling away

"Your staying for dinner right ?" She asked smiling

"I was thinking I'd stay with you guys for sometime , if that's okay? " he asked

A bright smile appeared on Nora Allen's face as se heard her son

"Yeah , yeah , it'll be great" she said excitingly as she moved to kitchen again
Barry laughed nervously , he'd never imagined seeing his mother like this

"Did I hear Barry ?" His dad came out of the other room

"Dad " he walked to him hugged him tight

"Barry is staying with us for some time " Nora said happily

"Ohh great " henry Allen patted his sons back

he always just dreamt of this moment , his mom cooking dinner for him

He walked towards her and just stared at her for a moment , like never before , effectionn in his eyes , all of his love just wanting to flow , his eyes felt wet as he kindly stared at his mom

"Do you want something Barry?" Nora asked

"No , no I just " he wiped his eyes

"I wanted to see if you need any help ?" He said

"Oh no honey ! Just sit down and relax , you've been working so hard " she said placing a gentle kiss on his forehead and everything seemed to fade away for Barry

He smiled as she pulled away

"I love you mom " he said

"Love you too my beautiful boy " Nora said as she went back to her work

Barry stood there for a second and his phone rang

"Caitlin" he said

"Who " Nora asked

"Oh a friend " he said with his face turning a little pink

"Okay, answer" she gave out a little laugh

"Hey Caitlin " he said in an unbelievably cheery tone

"Barry , is that you ? " she asked confused

"Yeah , yeah its me " he said

"What's up" he added

"Uum , I'm kind of stuck at star labs and I need a ride , I was hoping if you could come by?" She said hopefuly

"Uhh" he thought for a moment

"Wait a sec" he said putting her on hold

"Okay " she replied

"Mom! " he called

"Yes" she said

"If you know that some things are supposed to be like together , and what you want is coming between that , should you still want it ?" He asked not farely sure of what he was asking

Nora smiled

"I think , what's meant to be , always finds a way" and turned to the fridge

He sighed and closed his eyes and rembered the day of Caitlin and Ronnie's wedding , how happy she was , her smile , her life giving smile , he opened his eyes took a deep breath

Put the phone on his ear

"You there Barry!" Caitlin called out

"Uhh , I'm in the middle of something right now ! Can't come , I'll tell Ronnie to get you " he said it as much as he hated it he said it

"Ronnie" she replied , and made a face

"Yeah I'll call him right now, he's great you'll love him "

He said hanging up

Caitlin stood there and thought 'what the -'

Barry banged his head on the wall

"Your so stupid , you know that right " Nora laughed

"I know !" He sighed and went outside !

He sat with his dad who was watching some baseball game wen suddenly the lights went out

"Mom, do you a torch in there " he asked

"Yes Barry I do" she said as she turned the torch on

"What happened ?" Henry said
Barry looks out of the window

"Must be a blackout" Nora supposed

"Only our house ?" Barry questioned as he saw every other other house with lights

He went outside to check the switches , he heard something , a tree moving maybe , he couldn't tell

He followed the movement he saw someone running away , he followed the person wearing a black hoody , but suddenly what he saw he couldn't believe
The person fired strike of lightning on him with their hands , like spiderman shoots web . he doged and stopped

"Blackout" he said catching his breath
