"Tuck, why do you have to do this? I mean we can make it! You don't have to go put your signature on a death wish! I couldn't even fathom living with out you by my side! Can't you just forget about it!" Mina shouts as tears fill her eyes. Worried the man that she's built her life with so far won't make it back to her alive.
"No, Mina! I'm doing this for the both of us. It would be better for us and I'll always make it back home to you! You don't have to worry love. I'm gonna be back. I'll have visits and maybe you can come visit me wherever I'm stationed." Tuck tries to comfort Mina. Pulling her into his chest as her tears fall, dampening his shirt. He rubs her back before picking her up & moving to the couch. Sitting down with her on his lap. Caressing her head & twirling her long ginger locks.
"I just don't understand it Tuck. WE. ARE. OKAY. Sometimes people struggle but we'll get it together. It just takes a bit. I feel like you're taking way to big of a jump." Mina whispers.
"I know baby but I don't want us to just be, "okay". I want us to be fantastic. I want to be able to give you the world. This will just help us. I'll eventually be able to go to college after & then have an even better career. Get us out of this town. Take care of my girl the way I've always wanted to." Tuck whispers back as Mina rubs his chest.
"I just don't want you to leave Tuck. It's gonna be hard without you here. Not waking up to you beside me. The memories we'll lose out on."
"We'll be just fine love. Imagine the memories will make when I get back. Imagine all the possibilities that will come out of this & all the amazing adventures will be able to go on after. Don't worry your pretty little head my love." Tuck tries to comfort Mina as best as possible but can't deny the fear he holds himself. Their whole life's about to change and you never know the outcome.
