In all due honesty, he did not know what he was doing.

Albus was so sure of it twenty minutes ago that it'd be a good idea when Scorpius owled him to celebrate his birthday at The Leaky Cauldron. He's snuck to that pub once in his whole life when he was seventeen, and he soon hoped it would be the last and only time since he woke up the next day with a girl in his bed. Harry found out about it and laughed, while Ginny gave a three hour lecture on how he shouldn't go around and ruin his reputation like that.

For what he'd assume to be a light, fun experience turned out to be an absolute failure. Not that he didn't like one night stands. All normal guys with a sex drive loved screwing girls and throwing them away the next day. That way, there wouldn't be a fuss about commitment and the complex stuff. When James, his brother, found out, he was given a high five for 'hitting home run', and a slap for illegally sneaking into a bar underage with James' ID.
But perhaps Albus was the exception. He didn't feel a grand success when he had drunk sex with a girl that didn't matter the least to him. He cowardly ran away in the morning, and swore it'd be the very last (and only) time.

He slipped on a casual black tee shirt and beige shorts as his thoughts still wandered.
Perhaps because he never fooled around with girls in school, being a loser and all---and despite being the son of the saviour of the wizarding world, he had quite a lonely childhood, if it wasn't for Scorpius that helped him through...

He headed to the bathroom and combed his hair back, applying just a teeny amount of gel. The years worked well on him, for he didn't look like an bitter child anymore. He was tall-ish, and his chin was a little stubby. He was beginning to shave as the sound of claws scritching on his bathroom door alerted him.
"Oh hey," he looked down to his pet ferret, who was way overweight for its age. The animal carried a letter in its mouth and dropped it in front of Albus' feet.
"What's this?" he opened it up.

'Al---stop wanking and get here. We're all waiting. ~Scorpius'

He laughed but then re-read it.
" 'We're all waiting?' "
He had thought it'd be just Scorpius. His parents must've been there waiting aswell, which he thought they were downstairs in the living room.
He made a note to himself that he should probably start living on his own by now.

He wondered who else was there, and groaned at the thought of seeing old classmates that he'd have to try to impress---all over again.
But that was back then. He was an adult now, wasn't he? If he acted cool and ordinary, nothing could go wrong. He crossed his fingers and hoped Scorpius only invited a few people.

Whatever. I can do this, he practiced a smile to his reflection and headed to the chimney of his home, which he shared with still, both his parents.
"To The Leaky Cauldron!"
he flung a green powder, and an emerald fire swallowed him.
