No, Elisa (short for Elisabeth) was not anything special. To say she was ugly would be a lie, but her face was not one you would remember in the streets. Elisa would call herself 'mediocre at best' and the truth is that this was in fact a somewhat accurate description. She was not outstanding in her classes, nor was she cheer-captain. Elisa was not particular shy (the kind of shy that made you noticeable). Her social circles were nor small, nor big, nor did she stick to only one group.
The same could be said about Rian. His name was most likely the most noticeable aspect in his life. He was not a straight-A-student, nor was he the notorious bad boy. In fact, is his best friend was the knight in shining armour, Rian was the poor horse having to carry the knight: no-one would remember him in the stories that would be written.
Did this matter to them? No, their lives were perfectly fine. There were the occasional ups-and-downs, but these occur to even the best of people. But even though, both their lives were moving along smoothly, everything was about to get better when their paths really crossed.
