*CHAPTER 2*
“Hey babe.”
“Hey, want to come over today? My mom is getting married and im meeting my soon-to-be step dad and step brother, and I wanted to know if you could come.”
“Sure. Be there in 15. Love you.”
”Bye, love you.” I hung up. I lied on my bed.
I woke up to the bed shifting. I opened my eyes. I must’ve fell asleep.
“It’s ok, it’s just me.” I scooted over so he could have some room.
“You fall asleep fast.” he said laughing. I smiled and handed him some of my cover. He put his arm around me and we both fell asleep.
“Brittney, Flynn. Dinners ready.” I sighed and got up. Flynn followed me out. We made it out into the living room to see my soon-to-be-step dad.
“Hello, you must be Brittney.” He said while walking up to me and holding out a big hand. I shook it.
“You must be Jase.” He smiled.
“And this is my boyfriend, Flynn.”
”Hi Flynn,”
”Hi, nice to meet you.” Flynn said while shaking his hand.
“Well, my son Matthew is helping your mother. Lets come meet him.” I nodded.
“Dad, come here.” Someone yelled from the kitchen. Why did that voice sound so familiar?
“Coming, Matthew.” Wait, Matthew? No, it can’t be. Flynn grabbed my hand and squeezed it.
“You okay? What’s wrong?” he whispered.
“Nothing. Im-im fine” I replied shakily. He didn’t say anything else, but I could tell he wasn’t satisfied with my answer.
Right when I walked into the kitchen. I saw him. Matthew. He saw me.
“Matthew?!”
“Brittney?!”
“You know each other?” Mom asked.
