Bea's POV

I haven't received a single reply from Jhoana. And it makes me hella anxious. It's like waiting for your score on your bloody exam that you surely know that you had failed in.

I've been checking my phone every minute and dahil dun, my phone had been confiscated. Now I can't do anything but wait until the dismissal time.

When I finally got my phone back, I quickly opened and checked if Jhoana replied. And to my fortune (maybe), she did!

This is very nerve-racking.

As I opened and read the message Jhoana sent to me, my heart shattered into a million shards of pieces.

[Jhoana]: im sorry pero kaibigan lang tingin ko sayo
[Jhoana]: delete my number and kalimutan mo na rin ako thanks

I thought so.. bakit ko pa ba pipilitin sarili ko if she doesn't even feel the same?

Plus it's my fault. Kasalanan ko ang lahat ng ito. Because of these feelings, I lost a friend. I lost someone I cared about.

I thought of replying back but stopped myself. What for?

To make myself suffer even more? There's no reason to text her pa eh. She told me to stop so that's the end.  And I respect her decision.

I persuaded myself that she's just a person; one of the billion people in the world. I can meet other people other than Jhoana.

But not someone like her.

Maybe we were just meant to know each other but weren't destined be part of our lives, you know?

I'm sad because Jhoana was really that kind of person that I want to be friends with forever.

We could've been the bestest of the friends. But now, there's no chance that I'm gonna meet her.

I finally locked my phone and continued walking to the gym for the training.

For once I didn't look up to the stars.

What use did they have if they just give us false hope?
