[Author's POV]

It was the year 20XX,
monsters have been roaming around the earth ever since the barrier broke at least 15 years ago.
And ever since that barrier broke, your parents had found each other, baring a hybrid.
Your mother was a monster and your father was a human, you became their mix.
Your mother was an enchanted magical shapeshifting monster and it was passed on down to you.

Just a few years after the barrier broke, you had come into the world.
You were the brightest wonderful thing that had sprouted into your parents' lives. They deeply loved you and is why they are so overprotective about you, though they know their little one must break some rules and spread their wings and fly.

You were now 17 after the 15 years had gone along.
You had become friends with both monsters and humans, you didn't care about how humans had only wanted to stick with human friends, humans are selfish anyways, but the monsters are their total opposite in their ways.

They welcomed you as their friend, like you were all one big happy family.
But, deep down inside you, you know not all humans are selfish and always wanting to stick with their kind, you know this very well.

It was June 16th, the last day of school. This made you explode with joy and freedom, you could now explore the world without having to worry about time and when you needed to be home, not anymore! Its Summertime!

You were walking on out of the highschool, you were an 11th grader.
You had your backpack on your back, which made you sometimes feel like it was a shell, it was a dark green backpack sooo...

You took a wiff of the warm flowery summer breeze, ahh, the smell. It made your curiosity and adventurous side grow and beg you on its two knees to start exploring.
You shrugged and took your backpack off, tapped it, and it went straight to home in your bedroom, you did this multiple times, though your parents kept on telling you to not use your magic on simple things you can take care of.
You smirked and shapeshifted into an Shetland sheepdog, your greyish, brownish, tanish, white pelt went nicely with the sun's touch. Your tongue hung out as your ran on your journey to a set of woods near Mount. Ebbot.

You continued on as you passed through towns and people and monsters on your long journey to the mountain that always caught your curiosity, always.

You had also ran into many children who had chased after you, since you were such an adorable fluffy little doggie! You wouldn't blame them, you really fit a dog.

As you entered the woods, you were panting like crazy, you fell on your side for exhaust, giving yourself some time to catch your breath.
But you know for sure that you were gonna be in real good shape!
You loved staying in shape and having such an energetic side, it was just you!

You got back up on your four paws after your small break and started walking through the dark, shady, spooky, eye-catching woods.
Your tail was wagging rapidly from your exploding excitement, you couldn't contain yourself so, you let out a happy yip and a few barks.

Well, you continued on in the woods, as much as these woods really caught your attention, it really did. You had to be careful at where you put a paw or where you walked, you had to stay away from poison ivy and such. Goodness...

It had been hours since you had started exploring the wondrous woods, well, at was now midnight, but you were still full of energy. How? Well how should I know?

As you traveled on deeper into the set of woods, you heard a loud snap of a twig in somewhat of a distance, you yipped. Your head swerved to where you heard the startling snap, it had really sent shivers down your spine.

You didn't like the vibes you were getting, it was unsettling. You felt as if you were being watched, so, what did you do? Ahh well....

You ran.
