Before her debut with Twice, Tzuyu featured in Stop Stop by Got7 and Only You by Miss debuted in sixteen.
Her career debut was with Twice in 2015.

Twice was subsequently barred from China and Tzuyu also lose her endorsement with Chinese Communications Corporation Huawei.
JYP also went ahead to suspend all her activities in China.

Tzuyu later in a video came out to apologize for her action.
This video did not also go on well with the people of Taiwan and sparked an outrage.

However, they supported Tzuyu and all political parties in Taiwan also backed her decision to wave the Taiwan flag.
