He was so engrossed with the tale that he didn't even realize the quiet foot steps coming from the outside of his front door. Or the rustling of someone pulling something from their pocket and placing it on the door.

He just sat there, and flipped to the first page to begin reading.

Chapter 2:
Damian Petterfield woke up with a jolt that made electrocution seem like a childish idea for torture. The cold sweat on his forehead and neck told him that he had been running in his sleep again.

That, and the events during the night had been harshly taxing on his body. But of course he wouldn't let his brother know what he had been doing the past few weeks. No, hopefully Luke would only assume that he had caught a cold at school or something else that had nothing to do with what was really happening.

Giving a full grin Damian swung his legs down from his perched mattress and fell from above onto the carpeted floor. On instinct he immediately rose his right foot, expecting a shout of alarm from his brother for stepping on the comic book. But cracking open his eyes, both Luke and the comic were gone from where they usually were on most Thursdays.

Thinking of all possible reasons for the phenomenon Damian scratched his head and walked into the hall, then the living room. Only to be greeted by a sight that can only be described as adorable.

Being the eldest of the twins Damian made sure to make his brother acknowledge this in every possible way. So when said elder brother walks into a room and sees his precious twin nodding off to sleep with a certain comic book pressed into his lap by his limp hands.

-He utilizes his super speed to run back into his room, grabs his phone, and spam clicks photos of the beautiful sight for his album. He has his new screensaver.

He would be terrified of the image in his head that depicted Luke beating him up for this later.. But he liked to live in the present and worry about all that another time.

Really Damian didn't feel that bad about taking the pictures, he wouldn't post it on any social media sites or anything, he felt justified that it was part of his responsibilities to partially bully Luke.

He really loved the fellow speedy, it's just that they were both now leveraged with some embarrassing pieces of blackmail. Mostly by the given fact that no matter how fast they both ran, Luke would always be a .45 second faster than Damian.

That and Damian's unfathomable fear of creepy things. Bugs and arachnids included.

To them there were two kinds of twins. The ones that grew up together destined to always have the bond. And the ones that split up. Right now they were somewhere in between, still deciding which ones they'd be. Either way they agreed that they'd always have each other's back in a pinch.

And Damian knew that Luke held this as some sort of secret vow.

The 'if I'm at a bar and I need someone to pick me up" thing. Not the three types of people deal, Luke always claims that he's a goody two shoes anyways. Really Damian thinks he's got it the other way around.

Since mom and dad are always out on missions or at an official heroing building Luke does pretty much all of the house chores. Like cooking and stuff, man Damian can't even manage boiled rice.

The boy stops taking pictures when he realizes that he's probably been spotted, but as Damian lowers his phone he sees his twin fast asleep with his head resting on the recliner's headboard.

Damian walks forwards with brotherly intentions in mind but is suddenly stopped by not only the smell of omelets, but the sight of more then two dozen in front of him. (Well in the kitchen but potato potata').

He zig zags towards one that looks like it has extra mushrooms on it but stops short to gaze at the door not too far away. A door which he had heard a distinct clicking sound from only a mere few seconds prior. Damian slowly approached the door and unlocked it with nimble fingers.

Cracking it open only the tiniest bit he peeks out cautiously. Only to see no one out in the hallway of other closed apartments. Being in an apartment without the technology for electronic doors also means that there are no security cameras outside of the lobby.

Walking outside carefully he doesn't allow the door to make a click as it closes behind him. The boy stares at the door seeing an envelope and a small box, which he assumes is a speaker, replaying a constant tapping sound.

Damian snatches the letter and box and immediately retreats inside, to the sight of his brother stirring from his sleep.

Chapter 3:

Luke opens his eyes to quite the sight before him. His elder brother Damian was sitting in their kitchen (which is really their family and dinning room as well) shoving forkful after forkful of omelet down his throat.

The action looked forced and rushed but the youngest had no right to judge. He wasn't really right in the head yet and was still groggy from his nap.

The blood rushed to his head and he got a minor dizzy headache as he sat down in a wooden chair next to his brother. Both didn't say a word but instead opted to leave each other to their own thoughts.

"Well how's breakfast.?"
