Morrison POV
All day long, I couldn't stop thinking about what happened. His lips, his eyes, the sweet smell of his clothes..... And now I'm going to drive him to his house. I was so distracted that I would sometimes just trail off and be silent while teaching. I would snap back after realizing what I was doing, but I could never shake the thought.
There was a meeting after school, so we got out at around 3:00. The whole time Kingston had his ankle wrapped around mine. Nobody seemed to notice. When we were walking out together, I realized something.
"Wait, where do you even live?"
"Oh I live by Clove Lake."
"Ah, ok." When we got to my car, Kingston looked a bit surprised.
"How do you keep this thing so clean?" He asked.
"I don't know, it just is." He shrugged as I turned on the car and drove off. The ride was mostly silent. It wasn't awkward or anything, we just didn't feel the need to talk. About halfway through the ride, I noticed Mr. Kingston grab my hand. He just sat there staring out the window while drawing little circles on the back of my hand with his thumb. I didn;t say anything, just blushed like an idiot.
When we got to his house, he let go. My hand immediately missed the warmth. Before he got out, he asked "Hey, do you wanna maybe come inside, have a cup of coffee oorr...."
I hesitated, but accepted his little invitation. I locked the car, and walked up to his door. He allowed me to go in first. His house was small, but not too small. Inside it was cluttered but not too cluttered. After he hung up our coats, he walked into the kitchen.
"So uh, what type of coffee do you like?" He slightly shouted. I slowly followed him.
"Oh, I don't actually drink coffee."
He smiled and walked towards me. He slithered his arms around my waist and pulled us closer.
"Then why are you really here?" He said with a smirk. I felt my face getting redder by the second so I buried my face in his chest.
"Oh shut up." I said trying not to sound too serious. He grabbed my chin and pulled it so I was right next to his face. Then he placed his soft lips on mine. The kiss only lasted for a few seconds before he pulled back. His arms still pulled me close to his body.
"So what do you want to do?"
"I don't know. I haven't really thought this through honestly."
"Well. We can watch a movie and order a pizza. We could play chess until our heats stop, oorr we could have-"
"Movie sounds good." I know how he was going to finish that sentence, but I wasn't ready for that.
He chuckled and said with a smirk, "Aw ok, I was really hoping we could have a staring contest though." He took my hand and escorted me to the couch. We sat down, and scrolled through his Netflix. We came across the movie "White Chicks" and decided on that. Before starting it, we ordered a large pie with everything on it.
"I can't believe you never saw this movie, It's hilarious, you're gonna love it." I shrugged as he started the movie. Halfway through the movie, the pizza guy arrived. I tried to pay but he wouldn't let me. We thought it would be better if we ate while the movie was paused so we could talk.
"So how do you like the movie so far?"
"It's great, I love it."
"Told you so."
"Yeah yeah." After we ate, we sat back down on the couch and continued watching the movie. By the end, his head was lying on my shoulder.
"Tired?" I asked. There was no response. It was 9:00 and I guess he fell asleep before the movie ended. I tried getting up but as soon as I moved, he woke up.
"Morrison? Are you still here?" He yawned.
"Yeah, I'm here. It's okay, just go back to sleep." I stood up and laid him down on the couch. I walked to the coat rack and got my coat. As I was opening up the door, he sat up.
"Nnnooo ssstttaaaayyyy." He said sleepily. I looked at him. I couldn't leave him. Something in my heart wouldn't let me. I put back my coat and walked over to him.
"Alright, I'll stay. But we need to sleep. It's late." He stood up and grabbed my hands. He led me to his room. It was mostly blue and messy. He gave me a T-shirt and some sweatpants. We both got dressed into our pajamas and I sat on his bed. He turned off the lights and laid down next to me.
"Good night!" He yawned.
"Night." I said while moving to lay down. I was able to hear him breathe. I watched his chest move up and down. I knew I made the right choice.
