Let the queen Conquer

Prologue

Once upon a time in a kingdom far far away, there lived a king and a queen with their baby daughter. Her hazel hair was plucked from the ethereal beings that watched from above, her eyes a gift from the cautious doe that gazed from their forest haven.

They named her Valerie.

Ever since she was born, things in the castle - to put it simply - weren't exactly going well. Many fights broke out within, and outside the grounds. To her father's second wife, Valerie was a bad omen. The step mother wanted to rule the kingdom, but when Valerie was born, the throne was instantly given away.

One fine afternoon, Michelle - the step mother - sent a family of three on a horse and carriage ride. Little did they know, she was planning to murder them. As they reached the cliff, Valerie was thrown out of the carriage - into the woods to watch her parents die. Falling off the cliff, they screamed for help - but no one was around to hear their cries. The clash as they hit the floor spread for miles, but still no one bothered to come along.

On a cloudy morning, an old women came and found Valerie, claiming her as her own. Since then - Valerie lived with the her, thinking very fondly of her, knowing nothing of the past.

Now Valerie was sixteen years old, time for her to claim her place on the thrown, although she doesn't know it belongs to her.

Also, this story takes is written in Valerie's pov not the narrator and sometimes will change. Narrative pov is hard.
