The long lost story of lily and James potter

The sorting hat

"Hello first years I'm professor Mcgonagall
The room we will enter is the great hall where you will be sorted into your four houses Gryffindor,Ravenclaw,Slytherin, Hufflepuff"
The vast group of eager eleven year olds followed the skinny professor into the huge great hall with enchanted candles floating above them .
"Really wonderful isn't it "said a excited little voice "hello I'm Molly ,Molly Prewette "
"Hi im Lily Evans "replied a red headed girl" how do they float "
"Oh Lily , magic of course "
Lily was amused at this girls words her thoughts swam through her head about her new life at hogwarts but unfortunately they were interrupted by a loud bellow

"Welcome students back or to hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry as you know already first years you will be parted into
Gryffindor "
There came a loud cheer from the second row from the left
"Ravenclaw "
And then a loud cheer came from the left table
"Slytherin "
This time a more of a cackle came from the table furthest to the right
"And finally Hufflepuff "said Dumbledore
Only a faint yell came the table closes to the Slytherins

"We're do you want to go Molly "asked Lily
"Oh I don't mind as long if it's not Slytherin ,what about you"
" I think I'd like Gryffi-"
"He,hem "she was interrupted a talking hat "I am the sorting hat I will sort you into your house "
"Nymphrodora Tonks  " announced professor Mcgonagall
"Hum definitely kind at heart , better be ...Hufflepuff  "
Many people clapped
"Bellatrix black "
"Defiantly SLYTHERIN   "decided the sorting hat
"Sirius black "
"A black I think you will good in GRYFFINDOR"
Again everyone clapped
The list went on and It came to
"Lily Evans "
"Yes I see better be ...GRYFFINDOR "
She smiled and left the podium and sat at the gryffindor table ,next to Molly
and that Sirius black
"Hello I'm black ,Sirius black "
"Lilly and this is Molly Prewette "
"Black, your family usually is in Slytherin isn't it " suggested Molly
"I know "replied Sirius "so Lily are you pureblood "
"Actually I'm -"
"GRYFFINDOR "the sorting hat interrupted

"Hi I'm James "

"So Lily you were saying "Sirius reminded
"Oh yes so actually I'm muggle born "Lilly replied

Lilly suddenly spotted a small hooked nose boy who she new the name of Severus snape however he didn't notice her so she. Whispered "Severus ,Severus "
He turned around and smiled "hi Lilly "
"Good luck " she whispered

"Who are you talking to Lily "James asked her "oh,just a friend James "
"Ok, hey Sirius look at that boy with long greasy hair "
Lilly immediately knew who he was talking about
"You know idiots like you are the ones in the wrong "
"Oohhh feisty are we maybe you'll meet me in the library tomorrow and I'll tell what I like "James said

"Severus snape "Mcgonagall said in the distance
"SLYTHERIN" the sorting hat shouted
A sigh came of ever Lilly ,her only friend was going into her rival house although a laugh came over Sirius and James .she was so annoyed she got up nobody noticing and said "I think you'd have better work in Slytherin " and left the hall
