Falling for the Loner Girl (GxG)

Chapter 2

Jessica's POV

*beep beep beep* I awoke to the annoyingly persistent sound of my alarm clock. I rolled over and placed my pillow over my head, not ready to leave the comfort of my bed.

Since the noise wouldn't stop, I slammed my fist on top of the device to make it shut up. I dragged my tired ass to the bathroom to start getting ready for school.

As I was brushing my teeth, I realized I would be giving Katie a private tour of our school today. That instantly put a smile on my face.

I decided I should probably put a little more effort into my appearance today. So I applied some foundation, a little blush and mascara. Which I thought was good enough. I'm not really one to put on a lot of makeup, so this should be good.

I stared at myself in the mirror, observing my features. I have bright green eyes with a little blue mixed in. Long blonde hair that went past my shoulders, pink lips, and a pretty slim figure. Hmm, I actually don't look half bad. Maybe Katie will notice, I guess I'll find out when I get to school.

After getting changed into a simple white dress with a brown belt and a jean vest, I decided to head down to the kitchen. Where I was greeted by my mom, who was drinking a cup of coffee.

"Good morning sweetie, did you sleep well?" She asked with a warm smile. "Morning mom. Yeah I slept pretty great actually." I said.

"Alright well I'm supposed to be at school early, since I'm showing the new girl around." I said picking up my backpack and grabbing an apple. "What new girl?" My mom asked curiously. "Um her name is Katie, but I really have to go. So I'll talk to you when I get home." I rushed out the door shouting a 'bye' to my mom.

I quickly got into my car and drove to school. As I arrived I noticed a certain brunette waiting by the front of the school.

After parking my car and getting everything I needed, I made my way over to Katie. "Hey!" I greeted as I approached her. "Oh hi Jessica!" She said with a bright smile. "Ready for that tour?" I asked. "Yep now lead the way captain!" She said with a salute making me laugh. "Alright follow me." I said with a new found confidence.

We walked through the halls, and I showed her where the cafeteria, library, office, and gym were. "...and that concludes the tour." I said clapping my hands together and spinning around to face the girl behind me.

"Wow you seem a lot more talkative today." Katie said with amusement. I looked away shyly, embarrassed by my unusual behavior. "Hey it's okay, I think it's cute." The beautiful girl in front of me said with a wink. Making me smile and blush.

"By the way, you look really pretty today. Your outfit is so cute." She said, admiring my outfit. "Thank you." I said shyly. Mentally jumping for joy that she complimented me, since I did put all of this on for her.

The bell was going to ring in about 15 minutes, so Katie asked to see my schedule. "Oh sure!" I said handing her my schedule.

I studied her as she read over my schedule. The way she bit her lip as she concentrated on comparing our schedules, and the way her nose crinkled was just so adorable.

"And what are you smiling about?" She asked with a humorous tone. "Huh? W-what?" I was caught off guard by her question. "Well you were staring off into space just smiling." Katie let out a hearty laugh. "Oh it was nothing, so do we have any classes together?" I say trying to change the subject.

The tall brunette raised her eyebrows in a questioning manner, but decided to let it go. "Yeah we do actually." She said excitedly. She told me that we have first and fifth period together. "Wow I'm surprised we have so many classes together, but I'm really glad we do." I admitted to the blue eyed girl. Katie squealed and gave me a hug. I hesitantly wrapped my arms around her. The scent of strawberries filling my nose.
