-Jin POV-

The break had come to an end.

I went back to my place in Daejeon the day before I go back to work.

My mom wanted me to stay a bit longer, and I wish I could've, but I told her I would be back for Christmas and New Years.

Until then, I have to make a living on my own.

When I arrived back home in my apartment, all I did was unpack, shower, and go to bed.

I was too tired to even remember about Tina, or check if she's home.

But I do look forward to see her soon, I missed her.

-Next day @work-

"Jin, I need these capsules separated and packaged." A pharmacist ordered.

"Sir, my partner isn't here today, how can I possibly get that done?" I asked.

"I'm sorry, did I ask you?"

I sighed, "No.."

"Exactly. Get it done."

I snickered my teeth and smacked my clipboard on the desk.

Why me? Why Tina? Why today?

Tina has been completely ignoring me ALL DAY.

I've texted her, called her, and even knocked at her door and nothing.

Is she even back? Did she extend her vacation? I'm upset.

I'm left all alone to do this work.

She better have a good explanation as to why she's acting like this. This is childish.

"Jin! Are you getting started?"

"I'm on it!" I yelled and began to get started on the task.

Tina so owes me.

-Lunch Hour-

Once I got my lunch, I went ahead and sat with other interns I became acquainted with.

"Jin!" One of them said.

"Hi." I greeted and sat down.

"Were the task tough today?" One asked.

"Sort of, but I managed to get it done." I answered.

"Where was your partner today?" Another asked.

"I don't know, to be completely honest with you." I said.

"Hm. Weird. She's so inconsiderate if you ask me." One added.

I looked at him, "How so?"

"Well she takes a day off, and leaves you to do all the work. What kind of shit is that? It looks bad on you."

"I say they should cancel her internship."

"Excuse me." I interrupted, "All this shit talking is unnecessary."

"You're defending her? Why? Because you like her?"

"Because she's my friend." I corrected, "Now I don't know why she didn't show but there's probably an explanation."

"Sure there is. I bet she's hungover for drinking so much during the break. Haha!" One joked.

"Or maybe since she's a girl, she can't keep up with us." Another added.
