Birthday Wishes

"Bye sweetheart! You have everything?" My mother asked as she hugged me tight. "Yes I do. Have fun with dad!" My father hugs me "I still can't believe my own daughter is cheering for Bulgaria instead of the obvious Quidditch champions " I shake my head "the Irish don't stand a chance"

he laughs "behave yourself, please. And try your best at Hogwarts please! Your mother and I don't want to have to send a howler because your grades aren't good!" my dad threatened lightheartedly

I scoff "dad, please. I've gotten perfect scores since first year" my mom quickly handed me a small box with a bow on it. "We know you wanted to spend your birthday with the Weasleys, but we just had to get you a little something. Open it later" my mother says. I kiss both my parents on the cheek as I start to head out, my bags in hand "I love you!"

"We love you too!"

I had used the floo network to get from my house to the Weasleys. I was greeted by a loving and tight hug from Mrs. Weasley. "So good to see you dear" I hug her back "nice to see you too"

The twins were next "the joyful Weasleys are reunited for the 6th year in a row!" They chanted. I rolled my eyes at them "you're still on that? That was first year!" They nod "always and forever"

I turn when I hear someone behind us "Harry!" I pull him into a hug. I hadn't seen him since the school year had ended, and I had missed him. He was like the brother I never had.

"Sophie!" Harry moves out of the way to reveal Hermoine "Happy birthday!" Hermoine exclaimed, pulling me into a short hug "thanks! When did you get here?" She laughed "just now, actually"

The twins grabbed my bags "bloody hell Soph, how much stuff do you have!" I laugh "it's books actually, I plan on doing exceptionally well this year"

They roll their eyes, and I notice their grown out hair "this is a new look" I comment, gesturing to their hair. They shake their heads, and the ginger hair followed "you're catching up to me!" I tease. Fred shook his head "no one can compete with the lions mane!" He said, petting my hair as if I was a dog

I lightly punch his shoulder "my hair is not frizzy! There's just a lot of it!" George shook his head "your our little, shy lion" I snort "I think that defeats the purpose of the lion, and the male lions have the hair, and I am clearly not a male" they roll their eyes "then you're a mutant half breed"

"Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear Sophie, Happy birthday to you!"

I smile gleefully at the cake that sat in front of me with 17 candles on it. Taking a deep breath, I blow out the candles, but one was left

"Sophie's going to have one boyfriend this year!" Harry exclaimed from in front of me. I lightly kick him under the table; but he already got the twins started

"Who could it be?" Fred teased "if only it were obvious! Oh wait, it is!" I shook my head "I do not fancy him!" Hermione giggled "who wouldn't fancy him?"

"Cedric and Sophie sitting in a tree, what are they doing?" "Snogging!" Fred finishes Georges taunt

"Me and Cedric are just acquaintances! I barely know him!" I defend myself "well, I predict you shall get to know him a lot better soon!" Fred says
