It was a chilly spring day when Holly Corylus burped, and out of her mouth bubbles came. In the initial moment, nobody knew how to react. Should they be joyous? Should they be sad? Holly decided for herself, and squealed with joy over the one single bubble that emerged from her mouth. The little girl had been obsessed with the bubble-wearing soldiers and blue dragons that spit bubbles since she ever could remember, and wished for nothing else but being like them and falling in their footsteps. Although, she would not become a simple soldier. The ones that can create their own bubbles are the ones filled with magic and would be trained at the Sorcery Tower.
When the first bubble came out of her mouth, the only sound was of metal hitting porcelain that rung throughout the simple, round house made from sticks and hay. It was a stunning silence. Her younger and only brother didn't notice the bubble until then, and his eyes widened and jaw dropped at the sight of the little ball of gas surrounded by the thin, glimmering liquid. In a flash, his finger reached for the bubble and the bubble was no more. His actions stirred the family into an angry frenzy. They all had been mesmerised, watching Holly's bubble slowly travel across the table and slightly up. The moment was broken when the bubble dissipated into thin air with a silent plop. The liquid surrounding the gas, it's tension broken, spluttered down on the table with a splosh, and the Corylus head of family rose and screamed at the youngest. Holly remained seated, as if glued by the fates, staring at the spot where the bubble once had been. Her insides twisted horribly, her bubble was gone! Soon tears emerged from the corner of her eyes and her mother immediately came around to comfort her. Telling her that, there will be new bubbles. Holly sobbed over her lost bubble, but soon found comfort in her mother's words as she slowly realised what the bubble actually meant. She'd be going to the Sorcery Tower.
