Chapter 1: Crushes

I stared out at the wet street in front of me. School just got out for the day and let me tell you it was ruff. I don't get bullied nor do people teas me or anything, it's just, I'd rather spend my day with Jacob Black. I've known him since I was little. He was a good kid but lately Sam Uley has been giving Jake signs telling him to join him and the others but I know Jake wouldn't give in. He's too stubborn like myself. To be perfectly honest ... I'm crazy in love with Jacob. I was planning on telling him but after that girl, Isabella Swan, came to Forks it was obvious that Jake took immediate liking towards her. I wont lie I am jealous but there's nothing I can do. I don't like Isabella ... Oh wait let me correct myself ... I don't like "Bella". She hates it when people call her by her full name. Anyway she's an awful person! She's constantly leading Jake on when she's obviously in love with that stupid, pale, wannabe, emo guy, Edward Cullen. Why can't Jacob just realize she's no good? *Beep Beep* The sound of a horn made me turn my head to see Jacobs father, Billy Black.

"Good evening sir." I said.

"Good evening (YN) how are you?" He asked with a smile.

"Good just a bit tired." I didn't sugar coat. Billy nodded then reached over to open the passenger side of the car.

"Get in kiddo, I'll give ya a ride home." Again he smiled and this time I smiled back. I climbed into the truck, buckled up and we took off.

Billy knew about my crush on his son but kept it to himself. I also forgot to mention that I didn't live far from the Black residence. As we passed by their house I noticed Bella's car. Billy noticed and the next thing I knew the car turned around and started pulling into their drive way. I looked at Billy.

"Um Mr. Black?" He chuckled.

"I know you like him. Go say hi."

"But Bella's here..." My face turned a bit red.

"Don't let her get to you. Besides she's in love with that emo kid, Edward remember?" I did remember. I mustered up the courage and got out of the truck. After helping Billy out and into his wheelchair I walked over to the garage only to fine Quil and Jacob wrestling and Bella and Jared betting on who was going to win.

"$20 that they'll both give up and laugh while patting each other on the back." I said walking up to Bella and Jared.

"Hey (YN) ... Lookin good." Jared teased. I always thought Jared had a cute side to him but he's nothing compared to Jake.

"Oh hey Bella." I said.

"Hey." She gave an awkward smile. We continued to watch Jake and Quil until they gave up and laughed patting each other on the back.

"HA I KNEW IT! Okay guys fess up. $20 each!" I smiled in victory. Bella laughed while pulling out a 20 and Jared groaned.

"I don't have that much ... can I pay you later??"

"Oh Jared didn't you ever learn that you should never make a bet if you can't keep your end of the bargain?" I chuckled. "But sure pay me back later" I winked. He blushed a bit and smiled.

"(YN)?" I looked up to see Jacob standing in front of me. His long thick black hair in a feminine style, but it suited him. His dark eyes bored into mine.

"H-hey Jake" I looked down. Quil chuckled and eyed Jared who just smirked. They both knew about my love for the sweet 16 year old. Me and Jake were the same age only he was older by a few months. Jacob pulled me into a warm embrace. I inhaled his wonderful sent quietly.

"I haven't seen you around. I'm sorry I haven't called" He apologized. I smiled to myself.

"It's alright Jake." I tightly hugged him back. We pulled apart when we heard a loud cough from behind us. Jared's fist was balled up next to his mouth and Quil's eyebrows were arched up as he smiled like a maniac. Bella just sat there and scratched her head awkwardly.

"Well Jake I see that you're gunna be busy for the rest of the day so I'm going to head home." Right as Bella said that and started walking out, Jake quickly released me and raced after Bella.

"Bells wait! Let me walk you to your car!"

Bells? Did Jacob really just call her Bells? He never gave me a nickname before. Jealousy and hurt washed over me.

"Awe (YN) don't worry, me and Jared still love you!" Quil pulled me in a hug. Jared joined in.

"Yeah (YN) plus we definitely like you more than Bella!" Jared chimed. All I could do was giggle. Jake then walked back into the garage.

What did I miss?" He asked with an eyebrow raised and a smile on his lips. Jared, Quil, and myself all laughed. Jake joined in on our little hug fest. After a while Quil and Jared left. Me and Jake talked for another hour before it was time for me to leave. Jacob drove me home.

"Thanks for driving me ... even though I could have walked" I laughed. He smiled.

"Anytime! I really am sorry for not texting or calling you. I promise we'll hang out more."

"You better keep that promise Black!" I playfully punched his arm. He let out a hardy laugh.

"Goodnight Jake"

"Goodnight (YN)"

I got out of his truck and went inside my house. Tonight I'll fall asleep thinking about him.
