chapter 4: And You Kiss me on the Dancefloor

Lisa's POV

As we boarded our private plane, I couldn't help but feel a bit nervous I don't know why though maybe because I haven't seen my family in a while 

Yeah that's it 

I tried to distract myself by looking around but my eyes landed on Ryder who was skyping with someone on his PC but he looked so happy which made me think that maybe this might be his girlfriend 

"Lisa can you come here?" He asks which snapped me out of my thoughts, I just do as I'm told and went behind his seat to see a blonde girl on the screen 

"I just wanted you to meet my girlfriend, Hannah" He says cheerfully while I smiled and greeted her as she did the same to me

"It's nice to finally meet the person Ryder has been with these past few months, I hope he's been nice Lisa" Hannah says 

"Oh yeah Ryder's been a good guy" I say and they talk as I just walked back to my seat not wanting to ruin their privacy or something 

But Ryder and Hannah reminded me of Colin and I, just the way he talks to me or makes me feel better 

Gosh I miss him already, he's probably sleeping at this moment since he's been working hard these past few days

It's sad though since yeah there may be pictures of us online but I never confirmed anything about our relationship since we like the privacy we have right now, so when they ask me I simply deny but it's okay with him since he knows how much I love him anyways. 

I just sigh and fall into a deep sleep

I wake up due to Ryder shaking me awake

"Lisa, hey wake up we're here" He says smiling and I just rub my eyes to see the warm orange color of the sun about to set

I just get up and grab my things, as Ryder and I went to get out suitcases we didn't really have security since we didn't give a public announcement of where we are right now

Just as we get out of the airport I see a familiar face

"Lisa!" She shouted and rushed to me

"Mom, how I have missed you" I said hugging her tight 

"Lisa honey, I've missed you too! Let's go home I'm sure your dad, the boys, Dani and Lauren misses you too!" She exclaimed 

Yeah, Lauren misses me

"Let's go quick" She says and we get to her car then drive home, we had a pleasant conversation bout how everyone's doing I found out that Christina and Nick are on a trip around Asia for their anniversary I think, Katherine is on a book tour around Europe, Amy still  with Dallas and Michael and Alex are in some part of the world just travelling. I didn't realize how long my mom and I have been talking cause the next thing I know we're pulling over to their driveway 

Suddenly the nervousness I felt came rushing back up to the surface 

"Lisa are you okay?" My mom asks, clearly noticing the change of expression on my face 

"Of course" I say then give her a small smile she just nods and we get out of the car 

My mom gets my suitcase before I do, and if you know my mom when she gets something she's not going to give it up, I just breath then open the door to find the house quiet, no TV, no shouting and all that which is pretty weird

I just go to the living room to see no one, the kitchen still no one

My mom then comes back with my suitcase and I go outside to the back yard to see Dani, my dad and the three boys with silly string

"Lisa!" They all screamed in unison and before I could react they sprayed me with silly string 

"Guys stop!" I say laughing then covering my face

They then stopped and Dani tackled me into a hug

"Lisa I missed you!" She says and I hug her back

"I missed you too Dan" I then give each of them a hug and immediately noticed something 

"Where's Lauren?" I asked them, they just smiled and I turn around to see her standing there, not knowing what else to do, I just rushed towards and gave her a hug

"Lauren.. I missed you" I whisper so that only she could hear, she then hugs back but doesn't reply

"I missed you too Lise" She then says not making eye contact

Why though? Are we still not okay?

But then my mom shouted that we had to go inside for dinner, everyone rushed inside and when Lauren turned around I grabbed her wrist before she could enter the house

"Lauren.." I say sadly and there was a moment of silence as for the first time made eye contact with me throughout the time I've been here

"We should get inside" She then says and turns around walking back into the house

Why is she avoiding me?

I then just sighed and got in the house but sat next to her so that I could actually talk to her

Dani then kept talking about this guy that she has a crush on and of course being the good big sister I am I listened, after a while she then asked me something

"So how are you and Colin?" She asks and I immediately smile remembering my boyfriend

"We're great Dan, he's really supportive of me going on tour even if he won't be tagging along" I say we then keep talking about my boyfriend

"He's so sweet Dan like literally he does these things that make me so happy" I say and puts her hand over her chest saying 'this is too cute' I just chuckle at her action then hear a chair being pushed back, I then looked behind me to see Lauren standing up 

"I lost my appetite" She coldly says and before she could leave my mom asked something

"Lauren are you okay, this is your favorite food right?" She asks concerned

"Yeah, just really don't feel like eating" And with that she walks away and goes up the stairs 

Everyone was silent until after a few moments we started talking again but I can't help but feel as if something bad happened  to make her leave 

After eating everyone stayed in the living room while I decided to check on Lauren, since I still care about her 

As I was about to knock on the door, I hear her humming to a tune

A familiar tune...
