"Hermione, aren't you meant to be in Arithmancy? And Muggle Studies?" Harry asked. It was the trio's first lesson of the day: Divination.

"No." She replied sharply.

"All right, then."

"Sorry." Hermione looked down,"I hate Divination."

Harry chuckled,"We haven't had a lesson yet."

"I know, but it's still pointless."

"Um..." Ron was trying to read the tea leaves in Harry's cup,"I think...well, you're gonna suffer...because there's a skull...er...but you're gonna be happy about it. You know, 'cause there's a sun too."

Trelawney looked annoyed at him,"Let me see that." She demanded, snatching the cup off of Ron. The professor screamed shrilly.

"What?" Harry asked.

"You...goodness me...you have the Grim!" Trelawney slumped into her chair,"The omen of death! You, my dear, have a deadly enemy!"

"But everyone knows that." Hermione raised her eyebrows,"Everyone knows about Harry and Voldemort."

Most of the students gasped, though some looked angry. Trelawney looked like she was about to faint. Harry stared at Hermione with a mixture of amazement and admiration.

"I...well...you see..." The professor stammered.

"I don't think it looks like the Grim." Seamus said.

"No, no, tilt your head!" Parvati scolded him,"Then you can see it perfectly clearly."

"Seamus is right." Lavender argued,"That is not the Grim."

Everyone then began debating whether or not the blob in Harry's teacup looked like the Grim.

"It is! Look at it from the side!"

"It sort of looks like a donkey from here."

"It's a dog, you numpty!"

"Can't you see it?"

"That isn't a dog!"

"This is stupid!"

"No it's not!"

"It still looks like a donkey..."

"Oh Merlin! Harry's going to die!"

"Rest in peace, mate."

"It's not the Grim!"

"Yeah, Harry's fine."

"No he's not!"

"When you've all finished deciding whether Harry's going to die or not!" Hermione snapped, taking even herself by surprise. Now, Harry stared at her solely with admiration.

"I...well...I...you...I..." Trelawney gasped,"...c-class d-d-dismissed!"

***********

"Bloody hell, Harry!" Ron clapped Harry on the back as the trio left their first Care of Magical Creatures lesson,"Nice job!"

"Nice job? Harry could have died, Ron!" Hermione snapped.

"Don't you trust Hagrid?"
