I row off into the fog draped sea,
my boat rises and falls against the waves around me
My mood is as dark as the moonless night,
overcome with sadness, tired of the fight

My heart is a gray lonely place
while waves send their chorus of voices, the sorrow remains
The battling high wind and waves tossing me around,
my inner turmoil abound
The urge to soar beyond in the graceful morning mist,
but stranded in my heart are cold dark depths

Never in my wildest dreams did I fathom that your once sweet giggles would be like a shift of the moon and have my heart heavy with pain
My world is turned upside down, there's a void in my heart that refuses to die, pulling me down with anchor and chain
Once holding soft small hands with tender care,
now crushing my heart with adolescent dare
Haunted by the sound of waves that crashes into ragged cliffs,
sculpting new curves into my soul's eclipse
Me, a castaway,
a vast emptiness churning the demons my being engage

Calling ahoy, I have to decide to find again my oasis of life,
or follow an endlessly receding horizon of strive
Far out over the sea,
the sun was enticing me - Let go! It would compel me
They say if you let a seagull go,
if it returns it belongs to you warrior of the ocean
Give it time! Time is a stream that carries you with the current on wings of change
Then you can moor at a port-of-call, the end of your turbulent voyage, tranquility charms
