8-Bit's Point of View
I sat on the bench of the training room, my hands wrapped around the handle of a machete, even though I won't need it. A thirteen year old like me could already break someone's spine in half with the flick of a finger. I heard someone coming down the hall and I stood up. I relaxed as it was only my boyfriend.
"Hey Techsy," he said. He was 12, I think. Nobody knew his actual age but he looked 12. Well, technically he was 12 billion years old. I was 13 billion years old. Young, I know...
"Yo. So, Glitch, where have you been? We were supposed to train together twenty minutes ago!" I huffed.
"Creator had called me for another test...." he responded, looking down.
"Oh. Are you okay?" I asked. He just walked over next to me, hugging me.
"I am now," Glitch smiled. Nobody knew his real name either. He kissed me softly. I kissed back at first, a bit hesitant. This never felt quite right, us kissing. I knew we had a connection but not like this... I could feel him becoming more passionate. I could barely stand how wrong this felt. Glitch's eyes turned from their usual unusual color of nothing to a dull pink. He tried to slide his tongue into my mouth but I pushed him away.
"Stop!" I yelled, his eyes returning to normal. He looked confused and shocked.
"O-Oh... I'm sorry.... I don't know what just happened... I know what I was about to try was new... I shouldn't h-have done that," he tried to explain. I just couldn't take it.
"No, not that. Well, yes, partly that, but just us. In general. I can't do it anymore. It doesn't feel right, I'm sorry. I don't know what it is, but I can't feel a romantic connection between us. It's different," I tried to explain. "It's just.... we're done. It's over. I can't take it." I teleported out just as I saw a tear roll down his face.
