"Daniel" i called out prodding the bond i felt it give slightly and my voice slipped though causing him to stop but he only growled and didn't greet me

i tried again

but that was a band idea he crouched around to leap for me when a gun went of he yelped leaping into the air i spotted a needle in it hind leg that was full of a green substance that was gone in seconds

i whimpered as the pain shot through my chest as he let out a howl as several moreneedles landed in his side I hated seeing him hurt but I couldn'tecsacly move to comfort him I shift the broke leg with a whine and Iwatched as Daniel shifted back

"we shot his with three full doses ofwolfs bane he's not hurt Nova" i let out a sigh of relief as he fell to the ground and i did the same falling into a deep sleep

I nodded my thanks my bones having healed hours ago gottalove werewolf powers I looked to his sleeping body worry lacing myheart as the doctor left the room only to be replaced with Amy who satnext to me in the spare seat she grabbed my hand and I held ittightly

"he'll be fine Nova"

"but what if he's still mad what if he'scrazy, Amy I don't know what I'll do after that I can't watch my matefall to pieces like that again, and i can't imagine hurting him"

hot tears streamed down my face and Amy was quick to pull me into a hug

I rubbed my eyes it's been five daysince that incident and I couldn't sleep I couldn't eat i've beensitting at this desk flicking through Alpha work

there was a small knock on the officedoor

I couldn't answer as it was thrown open I stood up witha warning growl as I smacked against the wall only to be met with Kyle, Daniel's beta

"he's up" was all he said before I was alreadyhalfway to the infirmary

i pushed open the door carefully

"do you remember what happened alpha?" the doctor asks

"yes" i heard Daniels voice answer and i felt shivers break out along my body

"if you don't mind telling me alpha what happened?"

"my mate died" i heard him whisper

i felt his anger i looked back to Kyle and he gave me a little push forwards and i moved into the room

"and i couldn't do anything to save her" his voice louder now

he was looking out the window he looked weak mentally drained probably the doctor looked to me and i motioned him out he bowed his head and i smiled moving further into the room until i was standing in the doctors spot

"do you know how th---" his head whipped around as he took in a deep breath though his nose "nova" i smiled and waved a little

he sat up a bewildered look on his face as he ran his hand over my check and i leaned into his touch relishing in the violent sparks that shot across my skin

"is it really ... you?" i smiled wider

"yeah" i breath scarcely having time to register anything as he pulled me to wards him

he hugged me close to him as Amy and Tasha stood in the doorway eyes wide as he exploded into tears andnot the small little sobs he shed this was full blown crying his facepushed into my stomach as we laid side by side and he held me so there wasn't an inch of space between us repeating my name over and overagain and I stroked my fingers through his hair kissing all over hishead

"it's okay" I whispered "i'm here now i'll always be here"
